"Oh come on dad one more story! One you've never told us before!" Jimmy smiled up at his dad.

"Oh yeah, make it about a fairy!" Emily shouted from her bed.

"No! A queen!" Louisa protested.

Brian giggled as he tucked his kids into bed. "Well what if I tell you a story with both a fairy and a queen. And ogres and rats"

The kids giggled. "Yeah dad tell that one!" Jimmy pleaded.

"Ok, long ago there was a kingdom with two queens. The black queen and the white queen. And they were sisters. And in the kingdom there was a valley where the fairy's lived. Now the fairy's had a sacred ring that kept their magic alive. But an evil rat king stepped on the fairy ring."

"And then what happened?" Emily asked.

"I'll tell you, tomorrow night, as your bed time story." Brian smiled.

"WHAT! That's not fair!" Jimmy pouted and crossed his arms.

"Those are the breaks kid. You'll have to see what happens next time. Now good night." Brian said and was about to leave the room.

"Dad wait!" Louisa called out to him. Brian walked back and sat on her bed.

"Yeah honey?" He asked.

"Are the fairy's gonna be okay? Will there powers come back?" She asked intently.

"Can I tell you a secret?" Brian asked and Louisa nodded. Brian leaned into her ear.

"They all get their powers back and live happily ever after." Louisa smiled. Brian kissed her cheek good night and left the room, making sure to leave the door a bit open so a little light would peak through.

"Dad really stinks at telling story's." Jimmy said.

"He isn't, he just always leaves them on cliffhanger and then forgets to tell the rest. Now go to bed I'm tired."Emily said

"What's a cliffhanger?" Louisa asked.

Brian tucked himself into bed next to Chrissie. "Were the kid difficult to put down tonight?" She asked.

"Not bad tonight. I told them a story they hadn't heard yet so all good." Brian smiled.

"Alright, night love." Chrissie kissed him on the cheek and turned over.

Brian hadn't told his wife about Anita. The woman he'd been seeing behind her back. He felt guilty but he was slowly falling out of love with Chrissie.

Brian's eyes began to droop and become tried. Suddenly the draft in the room became stronger and stronger almost pulling Brian out of bed. He looked up the find that in the middle of the bed room there was a purple and blue hole pulling him in. He held on tightly to the backboard of the bed but the wind became stronger. His grip began to loosen.

"Chrissie! Chrissie help!" Brian called but his wife was in a deep sleep.

Brian's arms became tired and his grip loosed. The wind becoming more violent and the hole in the room became bigger. Brian squeezed his eyes shut as he finally let go of the headboard and fell into the hole. As he went in the hole and the wind disappeared from the room.

Brian yelled as he fell down the hole, deeper and deeper. His vision became blurry and then completely black.

When he awoke Brian found himself in a tall patch of grass. Someone was softly crying in the distance. Brian slowly got up, he was deep in a forest. The leaves of the trees covering the sun that could only peck through a little, letting enough light for someone to see.

"Someone someone, has drained the color from my wings. Broken my fairy circle ring." The person called in the distance. Brian slowly walked towards the crying to find a fairy.A fairy that looked like Freddie!

"Freddie? Is that you?" Brian asked. The sobbing fairy looked up at Brian with his big eyes puffy and red.

"No, I'm but a fairy. I was at least." The fairy returned to his pity.

"Hey, you are a fairy. What happened? Can I help?" Brian leaned down and gave the fairy a small smile.

"Someone's broken my fairy circle ring. It's drained all my powers. And I'll never get them back!" The fairy let out a cry and burred his face in his hands.

Brian thought to himself. What would he say to his kids if they were in such a state?

"Well, I've lost something too. I always say when something's lost it can be found. Do you think there's a way to get your magic back?" Brian asked the fairy gently.

The fairy sniffed and thought for a minute. " what have you lost?"

"My way." Brian laughed a bit. The fairy laughed a little too. He wiped his face and stood up.

"I suppose, the white queen could help. But she's all the way across the Lilly valley. And the ogres could start a battle at any moment. We, we could go to the wizard across the way. He might know what to do!" The fairy turned excitedly to Brian. His grin a detect copy of Freddie's.

"Brilliant! Let's do that." Brian said holding out a hand to the fairy to shake.

"I'm Brian, Brian May." He introduced. The fairy took the hand and shook.

"Nice to meet you. Where exactly are you headed? I'm sure I could show you there. I know this forest like the back of my hand." The fairy reassured.

"Well you'll never believe me but a hole appeared in my bedroom and sucked me in. Now I'm here." Brian shrugged. The fairy's mouth fell open.

"You're the chosen fairy king! Oh my goodness! We need you to defeat the rat king so the white and black queens have their kingdom back!" The fairy exclaimed.

Brian was as surprised as the fairy. Him? A fairy king supposed to defeat this villain that is the rat king.

"Come along, I'll show you to the wizards. We have a lot to talk about!" The fairy smiled wildly and ran off into the forest. Brian following him hot on his heels.
