Alba's POV

After finishing breakfast, you walked with Felix and others toward the staff parking lot. "Hey, Alba, do you want a ride?" he offered.

"Nah, that's okay. I'll just take the bus with Aina," you replied, your thoughts still swirling from the encounter with Jimin.

"Okay. Well, see you later." He gave a small wave before heading to his car.

You turned and waited for Aina. Once she joined, you walked towards the bus stop, the sounds of the city surrounding you. As you navigated the crowded streets, you were lost in thought, replaying the conversation with Jimin.

"Earth to Alba. Anyone there?" Aina asked, waving her hand in front of your face.

"Hmm? Sorry, what?" you stammered.

"Are you alright? You seem a little distracted," she commented, concern evident in her voice.

"Sorry, just tired." you mumbled.

"Yeah, it was a long shift." she nodded.

"It's not just that. There's been a lot on my mind lately," you said, a hint of frustration in your tone.

"I know the feeling," she agreed. "Want to talk about it?"

"I don't know," you sighed.

"That's not good." she whined.

"Yeah, I just wish I could find a way to break out of it." you pout.

"Well, maybe getting some rest will help," she suggested.

You shrugged. "Maybe. We'll see."

The two of you fell silent as the bus pulled up, the doors opening with a hiss. You climbed aboard, your thoughts still occupied by the encounter with Jimin. You weren't sure how you felt about it and couldn't stop replaying it in your head.

As the bus rumbled through the streets, the gentle hum of the engine and the swaying motion were almost soothing, lulling you into a state of relaxation. Soon, you reached the apartment and hurried inside.

As you stepped into your apartment, you were greeted by the familiar scent of home. The cozy, lived-in space brought a sense of comfort. You hung your bag on the coat rack and headed to the kitchen while Aina went straight to her room to sleep.

"Night, Al," she said.

"Night," you replied.

The soft ticking of the clock echoed through the quiet room as you puttered around, tidying up and getting ready for bed. As you moved, your mind drifted to thoughts of Jimin and his apology. Despite his words, you couldn't help but feel skeptical. There was something about him that rubbed you the wrong way, something that made you suspicious.

Maybe he was genuinely sorry, but you doubted it. It's a possibility. Or maybe he's just a player, and you were an easy target. But there was a third option, one that filled you with a strange mixture of emotions. What if he was genuine and actually cared about making things right between the two of you?

It was a confusing and unsettling thought.

Shaking your head, you pushed the thought aside and continued getting ready for bed.

As you climbed into bed, you let out a sigh, the exhaustion from the long shift settling over you. Your eyelids grew heavy, and soon, sleep took hold.
