Jungkook's POV
As she exited the room, the air seemed to lighten. I watched her retreating form, my eyes narrowing thoughtfully. I wasn't used to someone standing up to me, especially not a waitress and it intrigued me more than I cared to admit.
"Well, that was interesting," Namjoon hyung said, breaking the silence first. He leaned back in his chair, "She's definitely not your average waitress."
One of the girls sitting with Namjoon, a slender brunette with a mischievous smile, leaned over and whispered something in his ear, making him chuckle.
"Did you see the way she talked back to Jungkook?" Jin hyung laughed, shaking his head. "Gotta admit, that takes guts."
A girl with long blonde hair perched on Jin's lap giggled, running her fingers through his hair. "Looks like you've met your match, Jungkook," Jin said.
"What a fiery spitfire, that one," Namjoon hyung mused with a dry laugh. "She stood up to our Jungkook - now that's a first." The brunette at his side giggled. "I'll say. I've never seen someone refuse him so boldly." She said nodding her head in approval.
Hobi hyung grinned from across the room. "Our Jungkookie's ego has met its match, it seems." His eyes glittered with mischief.
"Oh come on, guys," I muttered defensively. "I can't believe you all just sat there and let her yell at me."
"You're a grown ass man, Jungkook!" Namjoon huffed. "And we all know you insulted her on purpose."
Jin hyung laughed. "You're lucky she didn't dump your drink all over you, kiddo."
"That's it," I growled, shooting him a glare.
"Don't be such a sore loser," Jin hyung called after me. "She got you, kid. Own it."
The rest of the guys burst into laughter.
"Yeah, yeah. Very funny," I muttered.
"We love you, Jungkookie," Hobi hyung laughed. "Never change."
"You're the best!" Namjoon hollered.
"Shut up!" I snapped.
"You better watch out, JK," Hobi hyung teased. "That girl will eat you alive."
"Ha. Ha. Ha," I muttered.
As their laughter subsided. The blonde in Jin's lap smirked. "Such spark - it suits you, to find the one not so easily swayed." still toying with the hair at his nape.
Hobi hyung's smile held a playful glint. "And what a beauty beneath the fire. Exotic indeed - she puts the rest of us to shame." He grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Not to mention she's hot. Did you see those curves? She definitely doesn't look Korean."
Yoongi hyung, quietly observing, finally looked up from his phone. "She's definitely not intimidated easily. I like that."
Taehyung smirked, taking a sip of his drink. "She's got fire. It's refreshing." Yoongi hyung nodded slowly.
I said nothing, mind awhirl. Never had someone dared to talk back to me and a worker, no less! Intrigue grew despite my wounded pride.
Jimin who had been mingling on the dance floor, rejoined the group, his arm draped around a petite girl with bright eyes. "She's intriguing. There's something different about her. I can't put my finger on it, but I want to know more."
A girl with vibrant red hair, sitting beside Jimin, pouted playfully. "Are you already bored with us, Jimin?" Jimin laughed, giving her a charming smile. "Never, darling. But you have to admit, she's something else."
"Yeah, she's got our attention," Jin hyung agreed, his hands lazily tracing circles on the blonde's back. "And she's hot as hell. But there's more to it than just her looks."
Jimin chimed in, chuckling. "I've never seen anyone shut you down like that, Jungkook."
I raised an eyebrow, my expression unreadable. "Yeah, well."
Suga hyung, who had been silently observing the exchange, spoke up. "You have to admit, Jungkook."
Namjoon hyung nodded, his expression now serious. "She's not just another pretty face."
"Maybe she's a student or something," Hobi hyung mused. "Trying to make ends meet. Or maybe she's here for some other reason."
I remained silent, my thoughts consumed by the waitress. There was something about her that stirred something deep within me and how it affected me—something I was eager to explore.
"I want to know more about her," I said finally.
Taehyung chuckled, nudging me with his elbow. "Looks like you've got some competition, Jungkook."
Jimin grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Yeah, I think we're all a bit interested."
His words were met with knowing looks from the others. This was new territory indeed I thought to myself.
"Maybe we should do some digging, and see if we can find out more about her." Hobi hyung rubbed his hands together, his expression gleeful. "This could be fun."
I sat back in my seat, the gears in my mind turning. Who was she, and why did she seem different from the other girls we had met? My curiosity had been piqued, and I was determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.
"I want to see her again."
My words hung in the air, their weight settling over the group. A charged energy permeated the air, the unspoken anticipation of what was to come.
"Not seen you so intrigued before," Namjoon hyung offered, a gentle smile on his lips.
Taehyung chuckled, nudging me again raising his glass. "Best not leave our Kook brooding! I say watch and learn - this could get interesting!"
Jimin grinned. "Well then, I wish you the best of luck."
My gaze darkened with determination. "She's not just hot. There's something else. I want to find out what it is."
Namjoon hyung grinned. "You can count on us to help you. After all, the more information, the better."
Hobi hyung raised his glass, his eyes twinkling. "To find out the truth!"
I nodded, my jaw set in a determined line. I was going to get to the bottom of this and see what this waitress was hiding, and why she stood out from all the other girls. I was determined to find —I knew that Taehyung and Jimin felt the same.
As I sipped my drink, I thought about her: the fire in her eyes, the challenge in her voice, those curves had moved as she walked away, and this girl, this waitress, was the first to dare to speak back to me. It was intriguing and refreshing, and I couldn't deny that I was more than a little interested. But as I continued to drink, the alcohol taking effect, I decided that I would show her that I could get whatever I wanted. I wanted to have her first, I wanted to taste her before these two could have her. I wanted to just get done with her and move on to the next one. The alcohol fueling my arrogance, I was determined to prove her wrong. I would show her that she couldn't resist me, no matter how hard she tried. After all, I was the master of seduction, and I had never failed before. This waitress was no different. I would have her, and I would make her mine.
