AUTHOR'S POV:

Sharika and Meher left in the afternoon and with Ridhi out with her friends the dinner was a silent affair with none of them saying anything.

Knowing what happened with Vaedehi, Ragahv was upset thought was proud of Raman for standing up for her while Raman was not present for the dinner and ladies were too cold because of the events.

Both of them stood silently not wanting to get in anything that's not needed. Calling it a day they moved towards their rooms.

Raghav entered the room behind Vaedehi "I am sorry about whatever happened in the morning!” he muttered but she shook her head “You don’t have to it was not your fault actually it was not anyone’s fault!” she shrugged passing him a smile “But it did hurt you and it was my promise to protect you from any and every hurt, wasn’t it?”

“Families don’t hurt Raghav!” she stated “Not everyone’s!” he muttered under his breath she looked at him confused but he shrugged the topic of “Actually I wanted to ask you something!” she said after a brief pause he hummed busy in his laptop.

“Raman bhai said something about living as an orphan to badi ma…….but with a big joint family why would he say that?” Raghav stopped and looked at her “Not everything is like it seems to Vaedehi…….all I would say is do whatever you want but please don’t get involved in elder’s mess please!” he said softly making her more confused.

“Mess?” she asked he nodded a frown covered her face. His talks were just adding to the mystery “Matlab?”  “If after becoming independent you will want to stay with me then you will have plenty of time to know all this and if not then why to stress yourself with something which will eventually become insignificant?” he questioned back pushing her deep in thoughts.

VAEDEHI'S POV:

Whatever he just said is actually true it’s not that I have to live here forever but after knowing what family is will I be able to leave it behind? After being so closed to someone as Raghav will I be able to forget him?

But if he loves me then how can he say it so easily. Doesn’t it hurt him that even after having me this close he would never be able to have me doesn’t the thought of letting me go haunt him??

If yes then how could he be so calm and smiling like this?? But wasn’t it clear from the day he married me that it would last just for sometimes till I complete my graduation and get a job?

RAGHAV’S POV:

She will eventually leave was the foundation of this marriage. I knew it but still choose it then why does my heart shier at the thought of her choosing to go when it was me who gave her the choice.

But I don’t regret it because love gives wings even if it is never reciprocated then how could I have caged her with me? I don’t know how long it lasts but till the day she is here I will try to give her every happiness every opportunity she deserves and maybe some reasons to stay too.

Sighing I looked at her she was too lost in thoughts “Vaedehi?” I called pulling her out of her thoughts she don’t have to worry this much I will handle that department.

“Huh?” she replied shifting her attention towards me “We had to go to the market but you canceled it last moment!” “Actually aunties were so upset and would not look nice if I just go for shopping like this!” she canceled it for this reason seriously I shook my head in disbelief.

“I got some clothes and whatever I thought you could need it’s in the closet go look!!” she looked amused and then ran towards the closet “What a kid she is!” returning with the bags she spread the items all over the bed.
