Their Dilemma

CHAPTER 9

JEEVIKA’S POV:

“I was 20 when I fell in love with someone’s eyes.” I stopped to look at him. His eyes were darkest shade as his jaw clenched. I didn’t expected this type of reaction from him jealous is he?

Snaking his hand around my waist he pulled me closer as my head rested on his chest “Rama…” “Shh continue!” he cut me in between. Sighing I start again but is it wrong of me to say I liked the way he reacted. That I loved the position we are in putting an end to my thoughts I continued.

“Were was I? Oh yes my first love!” I stretched it to tease him “Can't you skip it or you want me to tell you where you belong  now?” he muttered tightening his hold around me. I love to irritate him but the consequesnces are not bearable so I nodded instantly.

“My sister loved trecking. So we used to do a new treck after every milestone we achieved in our lives together. Completing a similar treck we were on top of the mountain under a beautiful sky with full moon when she told me that she had  confessed her love to someone she loved and I confessed her about those eyes!"

"We were going to tell the names together at the count of three when a man attacked us from behind we tried our best to fight him but he was only attacking her” I paused as my throat dried remembering the incidents he rubbed my back softly.

“I couldn’t save her the man pushed her off the cliff. I was terrified and ran after him but he just disappeared. I rushed down the mountain trying to find her but couldn’t. Gathered the nearby villagers some of them even jumped in the lake but found nothing!”

“Didn’t you call the police or your father?” he asked “I did everything I could think of at the moment papa,mumma, cops everyone came, the hunt lasted for 3 days but she was found no where even that man was not found. Eventually the case got subsided.” I muttered wiping my eyes.

“She was your real sister?” I shook my head in denial “She was my maasi’s  daughter she was 4 years elder to me but since I was a year or so we had lived together.” “Why did she lived with you when she was your maasi’s daughter like her family?” Isn’t he too interested but let it be.

“Maasi was pregnant with her second child when her husband passed away in a road accident but she held herself strong for her kids but just a month before her due date she just disappeared. After trying to find her we assumed her to be dead and Mumma took Mahira as her first daughter!” I muttered pausing to choose between telling him further or not.

"You can share everything with me even if I listen or not your burden will surely get reduced.”  he shrugged making me frown "Seriously you aren't listening?" I pouted disappointed. It was my life my guilt my pain and first time sharing it with anyone.

"Uhmm some months after Mahira's incident Mumma called me in her study. She loved that place so much and said that after her it will guide me how even I don't know. That day when I went to her she was looking terrified and stressed and she was saying something when a fire errupt she managed to push me out but couldn't survive!"

"After her death Papa closed himself completely not even passing me a glance. It's only after I said a yes to the alliance he smiled.... "  "And to keep that smile you married me right?" he cut me in I nodded silently.
"But somewhat he had disowned me!" I muttered with a faint smile

RAMAN'S POV:

"But you own me isn't it enough?" I raised my eyebrows with a sinister smirk. I got such a big clue even a whole damn incident and still I am trying to make her feel better but isn't my purpose done? I don't need to do it now rather I should go and try to process the new hints but my heart melted at the sight of her as her cheeks turned the slightest shade of pink and she teared her gaze from mine.
