"I need a vacation from my own thoughts," you say out of nowhere after the clinic nurse gives you medicine to take, because you've recently realized that your thoughts are the source of your stress.
"Huh?"
You look at the man sitting in the movable chair next to the little bed in the clinic.
"Oh, nothing." You said with a smile, late realizing he was still in the clinic.
Actually, it was kind of him to help you because you wouldn't have been able to do it without him, but now that you're okay, maybe he can leave now.
You get your wallet from the bag and pay him money as a thank you for his help.
"What's that?" He ask.
"Accept this as a thank you for disturbing you," you remark, because he was on duty when you interrupted him.
The man glanced at the money you handed him, which makes you question why he didn't accept it yet.
You smile again as you handed the money for the second time.
"Accept it, don't be shy," you say.
The man looks at you and chuckles reason for your smile to change in an embarrassing situation.
'𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝑰 𝒖𝒑𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒃𝒚 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚?' You question your own mind.
You're going to apologize when he rises from his seat.
"Keep it, Ms.," he answered, his teasing smile still on his lips.
"But, you're on duty while I—"
"Duty?" he responded. You nod.
"Yes, you are guard duty in Jay fansign-" You didn't continue speaking as his smile turned to laughter.
"Who says I'm the guard there?"
You left perplexed because you realized you had misinterpreted him for something.
"Wait, you are not a guard there?"
"I'm not Ms. I was only there to accompany my sister since she's a fan of that Jay." He brushes his lips with his thumb before placing it on his chin, as if he were thinking about something.
"You're a fan of his, for sure, which is why you're here?" He said.
It appears that he had no clue you were Jay's girlfriend, because he seemed to have been forced to attend the event because of his sister.
"Actually-" You're about to speak when someone opens the clinic door, reason why both of your attention goes to it
It was Jay.
"They said they saw you leave the event, what happened? How are you feeling?"
Jay's expression was full of worried as he approached you. He placed his back hand on your forehead.
You cast a quick glance at the guy who helped you, who is suddenly bewildered but not astonished. It appears that he understands you and Jay know each other.
"Do you want to go to the hospital?"
You did not respond for a few seconds since you were still surprised Jay was at the clinic. If that's the case, did he left the fansign?
"Yes, I'm Okay, he helped me get to the clinic," you said, glancing at the man who was standing behind Jay.
Jay gave him a quick look and offered his hand in a handshake.
