POV:River
"Bro, that's my sister," Tavon twisted his face in disgust at the sight of Zoey sitting on Ash's lap making out.
I sometimes wish that-that would be me and my mate, if she would just submit to me. But she's so stubborn.
I am too but.. it's not the same.
"I kinda like it," Disha stared intensely at them which made them pull away.
"Disha please," Zoey shook her straight long black hair causing some to hit Ash's face but he didn't seem to mind. "Isn't it too early to be yourself today?"
"Isn't it too early to be all over each other when we are having lunch?" Tavon shot back.
I looked over at my mate who was stealing my muffin without even checking if I was looking at her.
I gave her hand a slight smack making her flinch away and get a caught look on her face.
"My bad," She looked away from me and continued to stuff her face in her lunch but much slower now that she felt my eyes on her.
My mate loves her food.
"Wait, we are having lunch?" Rowan had his mouth wide open turning all our gaze except my mate's on him.
"Rowan," Ash began. "You make us concerned" Ash ran through his blond hair.
"Well apparently not concerned enough to give me food," Rowan frowned.
"Rowan, you have food in front of you," I sighed. How much did he smoke?
"Right. My bad guys," He didn't say anything more as he began eating like it was his last meal.
"Anyhow, My guy Ryan is throwing a party," Tavon changed the subject to him. "Can I count on y'all?"
"Bro, it's the first day of school," Zoey deepened as she scrunched her eyes do to the sun. It glowed on her light brown skin. "Let the people rest for a moment" Tavon rolled his eyes at that.
"Nah, it's my last year at high school," Tavon chewed. "Imma be at every single party thrown" He waved his fork around.
"I'll come with you," Ash nodded but hesitated when Zoey raised her eyebrows at him. "What? You have cheer-practice my darling," He shrugged.
"No, they don't," My mate's voice came muffled. "They just have to recap with each other. They have cheer practice next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Wednesday and Friday this week" My stalker. I smiled.
"See how easy it is for Keirra to know? And she has the memory of a pup," Disha hummed as her eyes bonches on them. She loves drama.
"HEY," My mate huffed. It's actually not true. She has a photographic memory. She just doesn't care unless it's me or for the pack.
"Girl be quiet," Zoey pointed at Disha who just shrugged and peeled her cheese string. "And you," She now pointed at Ash. "Should be more knowledgeable about me" Keirra laughed at that.
"Stop being a meanie," I chuckled.
"Yes mate," Ash glared at my innocent mate.
"Yes mate," Keirra grumbled back to me.
Me, Disha, and Zoey are in the cheerleading squad. Me and Zoey are co-captains but she doesn't need me.
The only reason I am co is because when she needs to inform people mainly our human girls, which she doesn't feel comfortable with, and that is where I come in.
It would originally have been Disha but she said that she wasn't a dog and refused so I did it.
Zoey isn't too keen on humans and that's an understatement.
"Don't you have a meeting after school?" Rowan looked up at me.
"No, it's only for the heir," I teased my mate who was too focused on trying to badly steal my muffin to notice my teasing.
I'm already full and don't need that muffin but it's funnier to hit her hand away than just giving it to her.
"Yeah, Alpha told my Ma about it," Ash straightened up as best as he could with Zoey in his lap. "Is it something I need to know about too?"
We all looked at an unbothered Keirra who didn't seem to notice the eyes on her until I cleared my throat.
"What?" She frowned.
"The meeting with Alpha. What is it about?" Disha rolled her eyes but I have a feeling that she already knows. She knows everything that goes on in the pack and even outside our pack.
It's impressive since she doesn't even live at our pack house.
"Oh, we are sitting with Lunar Alpha and his heir to talk about the missing wolves," Keirra sighed now more serious.
4 wolves have gone missing. 1 in the lunar pack and 3 in the Blue moon pack.
It's more likely that they just found their mates and got held up which happens a lot but after the loss of many of our people since the war, The alphas are righteously paranoid when a wolf hasn't been heard of in days.
At the beginning of a new school year, we have to pay close attention to the humans around us.
They have this meeting to ask the heirs if they saw someone suspicious. So we can keep a closer eye on them.
"Yeah, her name is Civna," Zoey tensed up as tension filled the table. "She is really sweet, I hope it's nothing," it is most likely nothing.
It's been well over a decade since the war. I don't think anything is going to happen but I like the precaution we take.
"Don't worry mate," Ash kissed her cheek. "I'm sure it's nothing, I'll ask Ma if they found her for you," He reassured her.
"Sooo, it's only Ash going with me?" Tavon clicked on the roof of his tongue turning Ash and Zoey to glare at him. "What? I need to know so we can regroup," Tavon put his hands up.
"I'll go," Rowan chewed. "Just real quick question,... what are we going to actually?" He added getting groans back.
"I hope a teacher confiscates all you're weed," I said seriously making him gasp like I just threatened his whole bloodline.

This chapter isn't really my favorite but I hope y'all like it.
By the way, do I say "y'all" too much?😂 I'm still gonna say it no matter the answer.
Some of you sweethearts may wonder what kind of hair I choose because of my previous chapter and if you don't I'm still telling.
I got goddess braids but I took them down like two weeks after getting them. Who knew having braids meant having itchy scalp??? I did but still.
Anyhowwww, fun fact. Did YA'LL know that some black holes 🕳 are so small that they can fit in your palm???? (When I say black hole I mean it in like space in case someone didn't know or just thought about something else). I think that's a awesome fact.
