I wake up to a knocking at my door. I didn't even realize I had been asleep for this long. Is it already time for dinner? I wake up to my new friend curled up next to me and don't want to wake her, so I try to get up gently, but it's no use, she is already awake and looking at the door. I open the door and am greeted by an elf, who looks confused when I open my door.

He shivers a bit before he speaks, "Good evening, Dumbledore sent me to let you know dinner is ready and you can head down whenever you are ready." He finishes and turns around to walk off

"Ok, thank you." I say as I shut my door.

"I didn't think we would sleep until dinner." I say out loud to no one, to my new pet I guess. I realize I still haven't named her yet and don't know what I am waiting for. I sit on the bed next to her and pet her gently, so she looks up at me, purring. I smile as I look at her.

"I never introduced myself." I say, feeling foolish talking to a cat like she can understand me. Maybe she can, since she's magic? Is she magic? "My name is Blair, Blair Karkaroff." I pause, still petting my nameless friend. "Now, what's your name?" I ask, not really expecting an answer from her.

"Aleksi" I say without thinking, like the name was sent to me "Aleksi, I like that." I say as I finish petting her. "Well Aleksi, we need to get ready for dinner" I say as I get out of bed. I put on some nice clothes, the nicest clothes I have that is. I don't really have many options just some shirts and pants and my uniform I had to wear at Drumstrangs. I really need to go shopping for clothes. I never went shopping, just got the necessary clothing for the cold, no one ever dressed up there, there was never a need. I put on the long sleeve shirt I have and some of my nicer pants along with my shoes I got today with my uniforms. Aleksi finally gets up, seeing me ready to go and stretches. I go to the door and Aleksi goes in front of me, like she already knows the way. Soon we are at the place I am almost sure we would be eating at, when I hear talking from different people. They're having a conversation, a conversation I don't think I'm supposed to be hearing.

I get along the wall so they can't see me and Aleksi, getting the point, sits next to me like she is listening too.

"What if she is a danger here?" someone asks

"And why would she be a danger?" I recognize only Dumbledore's voice

"You know of his history Albus, he raised her." A female voice is talking. "He was with..." She pauses.

"All speculation, that was never proved." Dumbledore interrupts her.

The other teachers start talking, like their arguing about something, about me it seems. It sounds to be about 10 of them. Why was I invited if they don't even like me?

Suddenly they all stop and I decide to make my entrance, like I was not ease dropping on their conversation.

"Ahh and here she is, our guest of honor." Dumbledore says as I barely make it around the corner. I have a feeling he knew I was there, listening.

Everyone is looking at me and I'm not sure what to do. Dumbledore waves for me to sit in one of the empty seats next to him at the front of the table.

"These are the wonderful professors here at Hogwarts, they will be your professors and I'm sure you will learn a great deal from them. They are here to help you and make you feel as comfortable as our other students here." He finishes as he looks at all of them.

From what I heard earlier, I don't know if they will.

Dumbledore is done and is looking at me like he wants me to do something.

"Oh" I say as I stand up. " I am Blair, Blair Karkaroff..." I pause "But I think you all know that. I am excited to be here and look forward to learning from all of you." I finish as I sit back down looking at Dumbledore, He nods towards me.
