“You're a what??”
I gasped while looking at her straight in the eyes.“Yes I am a ghost..”
Reimi sighed and seemed saddened by this statement.“Then how come aren't you in heaven or in the afterlife?!”
Reimi took a step towards me and began to explain why she was still here.
“You see.. I'm trying to get revenge for the one who killed me 15 years ago.
I seemed quite surprised by how long she stayed here without rest.
Suddenly, my eyes darted to Akiko, which was still passed out on the ground, then back to Reimi.I sighed in relief without realizing it.
Why was I relieved that Akiko didn't get hurt?I went back to asking the ghost of this alleyway some more questions, ignoring what I just did.
“Do you know who killed you?”
I asked with a serious tone.“Not at all..”
She looked away from me while saying that in a quiet tone.I put my hand on my chin and began thinking.
Maybe I should help this girl and find out who killed her..
But who knows, the killer might already be in jail.My eyes widened, and I began to chuckle as I came to a conclusion.
Reimi looked back at me, confused.“Look.. I'll help you find your killer, but.. I'll just find out his name and appearance.
It's too dangerous to actually confront him if you're saying he's not your average serial killer.”She nodded in agreement, seeming happy that I decided to help her out.
“Thank you so much, Ichiro!”
I thought to myself that maybe it was time I should go to school with Akiko.
“Your welcome.”
I said stoically whilst putting my hand on my chest.“I swear I will find whoever killed you!”
I quickly walked towards Akiko and picked her up from the ground and held her in my arms, and started walking away from Reimi.
“Wait!”
She called out to us as I stopped walking.“You must not look back! Just keep going forward if you wanna leave!”
I nodded as I kept walking forward without looking back.
It seemed like I was almost out of the alleyway when suddenly.
I would hear cold harsh ghostly voices near my ear.“Look back.. Ichiro.. there's your old teacher..”
The voices cackled and would taunt me to look back.I stopped in my tracks and felt the touch of cold hands etching near my neck and getting closer every second. I squinted my eyes to see my surroundings up ahead of me more clearly.
Chills ran down my spine and sighed while maintaining a serious and calm tone.
“Honestly, do you think I'll actually listen to you. If it really was that bitch I would've noticed her already on my way out.
I continued walking, hiding my fear.
The voices seemed to stop once I said that.I made my way out of the alleyway and would put Akiko on the ground
And breathed heavily. That was the most eerie and nuts thing I've ever gone through in my life.
I would've ran away to be honest though.“Hey Yokota! What are you doing? You look pale as a ghost!”
I jumped in how out of nowhere it was and then realized who it was..
