Shadow's pov

What a weird dream I had last night, what did they mean by that statement..? I got up and placed my hands against my face, something in my gut tell me that meant something.

Later I got dressed and prepared for work with Rouge back in GUN. As Rouge and I arrived at the building, we parted ways since we worked on separate projects and rooms.

She went to her office whilst I had to go to the training room to train for upcoming missions, mostly gun shots and moves. After that, I had a some paperwork to do on some issues we had the last few weeks since our secretary was out of job that day for a family occasion.

Knock knock. Now who could that be.

The door opened and I was surprised to see Sonic open the door, he had look like he was trying to keep his presence low to not get caught for sneaking in. Sigh, why do I always have to deal with him and most of all, why is HE here?!

"Hello Shadow!.. I got you tulips, your office needs to fresh up honestly." He insulted while placing the flowers on my desk.

"Sonic what the hell are you doing here!? Get out before you and I get us kicked out!" I yelled angrily, that was my main question.

"I don't know, maybe I wanted to see you." He spoke lowly, what and why?

"Well sneaking into MY OFFICE and getting me almost FIRED doesn't make wanna see you back." I yelled even more.

"Okay keep it down, stop shouting before we really get caught."

"You didn't answer my question."

"I already told you."

"It wasn't valid." I looked him with one brow up while crossing my arms.

"Alright fine, I'll leave, but can we at least talk later by the blossom tree?" He asked politely as he gently placed the flowers in a small tall vase.

"Depends now go. I don't wanna keep seeing you."

He left the office but before he did, he took one small glance then turned back again with his head down. What a jerk.

-

It was 4:43 pm which meant it was time for our out of the building, so I started to store in my things and made sure I would leave nothing behind.

I took one last glance of my office before I left, I saw his tulips he gave me just earlier. I decided to water it and moved it by the window so that it won't die.

I had thought about what he said but I'm not so sure about it. Do I really wanna go or should I just force myself.

Something just felt wrong.. Was I feeling bad for him?

-

After getting home and fixing myself up again for this 'meet up' he spoke to me about, I thought about and decided to go with books this time in case he gets too annoying and I have nothing to occupy myself with. The sun is starting to set soon so I should hurry.

I got there and the breeze turned cold. It seemed like no one was there.

But I prefer it that way, peaceful and all alone. It was enjoyable for the moment.

I got under the tree trunk and started to pick out some books. Suddenly the cherry blossom started to shake and he popped his head out of the tree, looking at me from an upside down pose with his legs holding his position.

"Never thought actually you'd come." He spoke.

"I'm not here for you." I replied as I rolled my eyes then turned a page after the other.

"So whatcha got there? Is it action? Comedy? Sci-fi?" He asked again and again, but none of his choices fit a description to what I was reading.

"None of your business."

He went down the tree then looked under the book to see the cover. After he did so, a faint blush came made its way to his cheeks then his shocked face turned into a light smirk.

"Fifty Shades of Grey? Isn't that too mature for you?" He asked then chuckled softly before putting on a sheepish smile.

"Too mature for me? I'm practically an adult." I replied, but I can slightly agree.

Sonic then moved to my side and quietly sat down. I was wondering why he had suddenly stopped talking till I saw what he was looking at.

"The light gets dimmer without the sun, am I right?" He said turning to me with a soft smile.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm just saying the sunset absolutely looks exquisite and lovely."

"But it can never beat you."

"Did you say something?"

"No..! Did I say something...?! It was totally and DEFINITELY nothing." The blue sickening hedgehog then laughed sheepishly as he tried to avoid contact, weird deliberation of words but I had no time to suspect him for anything.

Soon the sun had begun to set and set even more till eventually, it had reached evening and him and I were still together under the same tree. He looked at the fade stars then smiled fadedly once more.

"They're beautiful, don't you think?" He spoke low, almost a whisper.

"What are you, into astronomy now? Well that's sudden for a stupid person like you." I replied.

"I just said they're nice, why did you have to get so heated up?"

He did make a make a point. I still question myself why I hurt him more than myself.

Later, half an hour has passed and I was on the verge of finishing a book, then I suddenly felt sudden pressure on my shoulder. It belonged to non other than the blue hedgehog that sat beside me.

I was about to wake him up but seemed so peaceful, just so quiet. It felt weird and awkward..

I decided to head back on my book to finish it but as I turned my head to Sonic, he was.. Just not there anymore.

But the pressure had never left. What did I just experience?

The breeze began to blow colder causing the loose cherry blossoms to fall. One of them fortunately fell on my head.

But instead of throwing it away, I had decided to keep it as a bookmark for the current page I was about to finish. A remembrance of  this unexplainable event I just had.

My main question is., Where did he go?
