I unlock my apartment door and walk in to the sound of quiet sobs? I walk to my room and there lay a little sobbing burrito on Milo's bed and in the center was none other than Milo. "Milo what happened?" I say then walk over to him then sit by him in the dark room, which I found weird because he liked to have the curtains open.
"I-I-I g-got fi-fired!" He said through sobs. "What happened? Wasn't it your first day?" He nodded sadly the replied, "I burned the burgers! A-and I got the Happy Meal toy wrong because they specifically asked for a Kuromi toy b-but I gave them a My Melody!" He then burst out into sobs out sobbing again. "A-and then they said I talk dumb and I snapped and-"
I ran my hand through his soft grey-silver hair and he paused. "W-what are you doing?" Milo asked and I just smiled. "Playing with your hair" I simply answered and he rested his head on my shoulder. I then stopped. "Keep going" he said and I resumed swirling his tuft I hair that covered half of his face. I smile as I close my eyes. He then sighed. "I'm sorry Theo I tried to keep this job I really did. Who knew working at McDonalds would be so hard." He stated with sadness in his voice.
"Milo, it's ok it's not your fault. It's the stupid manager's fault" I said and he chuckled. "Thanks Theo" he said the silence came for a few more minutes till Milo spoke up.
"Should I get a new job Theo?" Milo asked out of the blue. "Hm? Oh only if you want. I get my paycheck tomorrow so we should be ok." I said still playing with his hair.
He smiles and the slowly drifts into sleep. I rest my head on his and slowly drift off as well. How could someone fire this sweet man?
