*Rei's Point of View*

(A/N: this is definitely the chapter where things get real. This one is sure to be a rollercoaster of emotions! I have been extremely inspired lately, hence why chapters for this story are coming out so often. This is also a story where I actually know what I want, so it also works a lot better with the overall quality of this story.)

It had been two days since Claire and I decided we would go to the Nur Empire to represent Bauer. In that time, we had since met with Prince Rod and discussed what Claire and I (eventually) agreed on.
Next month, we would be heading to the Nur Empire.

I stood in front of a group of students. I had been working at the Royal Academy as an instructor for just under a year, and in that time I had proven to be rather popular. Claire also worked at the Academy with me, also proving to be rather popular. So popular in fact she had plenty of students fawning over her. It didn't help we were all roughly the same age.
My group consisted of about 20 students, and my class was filled with 'average' level students.
Claire's class was filled with 'high' level students. She primarily specialised in teaching social studies and maths.
I taught primarily just magic and the theory side of that.
In the year and a half since I had been at the Academy as a student, a lot had changed. Since the Revolution, a lot more students were to be accepted at the Academy. A new system was also introduced which benefited students by putting them into set classrooms with students who were on the same wavelength as them. This allowed students to consistently work at the same pace.

"Yo, Miss Taylor, you're totally cute today." Said an eccentric student.
I tilted my head up to see a rather cute girl with red eyes and red hair, slightly pushed back with a white headband.
This was Lana Lahna, the most... energetic of my class.
She seemed to have a strong fondness for me, which I couldn't entirely understand. She hailed me and Claire as 'Heroes of the Revolution'. She also admired my magic level. She had moved here from Euclid. It struck me as odd that she didn't seem to have much interest in what happened. Perhaps she's just really good at hiding things?

A girl sat in the corner of the room, sitting as far from me as possible. She stared daggers into my soul, a hatred unlike any other oozing from her.
That girl was Eve Nuhn. She was also from Euclid - or so I thought. She was a girl with long black hair, tied into double plats. She also had black eyes too. Quite a rarity. As well as this, she was possibly the only student in the classroom to actually wear glasses.
Though she was a lot shorter than me, she was quite a bit older than me.
Her hatred for me was confusing. I needed to try and make things right with her.
I knew why she hated me, apparently I stole her lover from her, but that still didn't explain things.

"Miss Rei, you should totally let me have dinner with you sometime." Lana said, cheerily.
I politely declined. I had to keep things professional between a teacher and a student. Besides, I had Claire.
"Sorry. But I have my daughters to take care of. And I have Claire."
"Oh my god you have kids??"
"Yes. They're my pride and joy." I said.
"I bet they're cute like you!" Lana said before turning on her heel and trotting to her seat.
I just simply shook my head as I stood up, readying myself for the lesson ahead.

My motivation for getting through the day was simple. Getting to see Claire in the break room. Her hugs always charged me up.
Plus, I would always seek any chance to get lovey-dovey with my hot as hell wife.
Lesson went as normal, until, while I was marking some papers, Lana decided to run her mouth.
"So, is it Miss Taylor, or is it Mrs François?"
I put down my pen and looked at the redhead.
Even an idiot could figure out Claire and I were dating. Still though, it wasn't actually common knowledge that we were also married. That fact surprised a lot of people. Instead, a lot of people simply thought we were girlfriends who decided to adopt rather early.
"Hmm... I suppose it would be Rei François." I openly admitted.
The reason I hadn't actually taken on Claire's last name was actually rather simple. Our marriage - at least in the eyes of the church, wasn't official. So for now, Claire and I decided to keep it as Taylor and François. However, we also agreed that May and Aleah's surnames would take Claire's.
"Well I guess I'll call you Mrs François, kay?" Lana said, smirking.
