Sorry guys I got too much interested in writing the very next story (hehehe)
PS: that's my favorite one. (WINK)
Shreyanvi's POV
"I need to go" I said panicking. "Shlok Sir is stranded on the road. He is all alone." I said to Drishti, who was chilling on the couch with her two year old baby girl, she had adopted. She found her in a dump crying. Shrenu was only a few days old back then. She brought her to our apartment and took her in.
I still don't know how she got Shrenu's adoption!
We both belonged to the same orphanage. We were sisters. Blood or no blood. She was the first one to hold me, when I arrived at the orphanage. Our orphanage was not like the one depicted in the movies and books. It was heaven. It was the best thing that had ever happened to me. Giving me such a big family. We do send our support to the orphanage time to time, but we can't visit it, as it is far away from Mumbai. It was in a peaceful town in the mountains of Tamil Nadu, Ooty.
Our orphanage was over supplied with products given it was sponsered directly from our company.
"I wanted to thank the people who had raised such an excellent person as yourself, who is such a great liablity to my company"
He had said when I asked him, why he donated such a huge amount to our orphanage.
I was 21 at that time. I had smiled at him, and he had given me one of those genuine smiles of his. He gives it everyday. And he is very talkative. He literally talks a lot. But he talks only with me. Nah! don't think because he like me or something, but it is because, we had worked together since we were sixteen. that long.
ten years.
Obviously, he would be comfortable with me. Duh!
"Where to...."
"Colaba." I answered. As I slipped into my Flat Sandals.
"But its not safe there right now." Drishti said, concerned.
"Don't worry! nothing will happen to me!" I said. "I can beat ten men at a time." I showed her my invisible muscles. She smiled and shook her head. Colaba was one of the most crowded places of the city. But right now, many riots were taking place there. Although, it was very silent there from few days. So I guess! it will be safe.
I reached there in a record time! Fifteen minutes only, I parked my scooter in the parking lot. It was really a hustle here today. The rush has always been crazy in this area, and suddenly two large boom sound. The fire cracked from a building few metres away, and that was the time I knew......
I was in grave trouble...
I ran opposite to the crowd, as I pushed through, making a way there. I kept dialling Shlok's number, but he won't pick up. I was standing in the middle of the colonies on fire. But I kept dialling his number. As much as I was scared, I can't leave him here. We have been together for ten years and if something happened to him, I won't be able to forgive myself.
