It was late at night around 3:00 a.m. when the gate of their door opened and a shadow was walking towards Kavin. The shadow was quiet in opening the door of the hospital room, nobody heard the noise of that shadow entering.
The shadow had a long knife, it walked towards Kavin and was about to stab him with the knife...
When Purvi held its hand and with those sudden noises Kavin got up. He was shocked by the sudden act and he held that person. He tried to remove that person's mask but he couldn't. The person kicked Purvi in the stomach and she fell down and hit her forehead on the corner of a table in the room. Kavin froze then and there. The person took this as an opportunity and ran away.
Purvi hissed in pain and got up, only to look at Kavin. His face had turned pale and there was no expressions on his face. He just stared at her and fell down on his knees, with a thud on the floor.
Purvi went near him. She cupped his face and looked in his eyes.
Purvi (tensed): Kv...are you okay? Baby?? Say something?
Kavin still had no expression on his face.
Purvi (on the verge of crying): Kavin, sab theek hain baby. You are okay. Everything is fine.
Kavin still didn't say anything, he started breathing heavily.
Kavin (stammering): Purr...Purvi....Baby...tum tum theek ho na? Ma..main tumhe...pr..protect
Purvi just hugged him. She hugged him so tight, not even leaving an inch of gap between them. Although he didn't hug her back.
Purvi (while rubbing his back): Nahi...Kavin sir main theek hu. See nothing is wrong. I'm absolutely fine.
Calm down.
Kavin came to his senses. He was suffering with anxiety. Purvi separated from him and cupped his face. She assured him that everything is okay and he looked into her deep brown eyes.
He hugged her back tightly. Purvi was taken aback but she hugged him back.
Kavin (while hugging her): Kaise kar leti hu tum yeh sab? Kaise mujhe har baar sambhal leti ho?
Purvi (smiling): Aapse bahut pyar krti hu bas isiliye.
And they stayed that way for a while. Both of them pulled back and Kavin noticed blood on her forehead. Turns out her forehead was bleeding all this while and she didn't flinch for a second.
Kavin : Purvi...kitna khoon nikal rha hain...cut by Purvi
Purvi : Arey nahi. It's nothing. Main theek hu.
Kavin : Aise kese theek ho. Tum ruko main aata hu.
Saying this he got up and left the room. He came back within 2 minutes with a nurse. She came back and was shocked to see the condition of the room.
Nurse : yahan pe kuchh hua tha kya?
Kavin : nahi bas woh mujhse table gir gyi thi.
Nurse : Oh okay! Arey ma'am aapko yeh chot kese lagi?
She said as she looked at Purvi.
Purvi : Arey main bas washroom jaa rhi thi aur per fisal gya bas....
Nurse : Okay. Aap yahan bed pe bethiye main aapki dressing kar deti hu.
Purvi made a face.
Purvi : Sister main theek hu. Mujhe need nhi hain first aid ki..cut by Kavin.
Kavin : Tum aise nhi maanogi na..
And he literally got up and held her in his arms and helped her sit on the bed.
Purvi was taken aback at his sudden act. She felt as if her old Kavin is back.
She just smiled at him.
Nurse just smiled looking at this young love.
Nurse: Ma'am aap bahut lucky hain jo aapko itna jyada pyaar karne wala husband Mila hain...
Purvi (blushing): Nhi nhi, yeh mere pati nhi hain...cut by nurse
Nurse: achha toh boyfriend hain. Ek hi cheez hain aajkal yeh bhi...
Purvi : Nahi, boyfriend bhi nhi hain..
Nurse : Bana lo firrrr...
And she winked at her. Kavin noticed all of these things and just smiled.
Kavin (pov): Last time jab main hospital mein tha, aur ek nurse ne yahin sab kaha tha toh mujhe gussa aaya tha aur aaj yahin sab firse kaha Jaa rha hai toh mujhe itna achha kyu mehsus ho rha hai....
His thoughts were interrupted by Purvi's scream.
Purvi (closing her eyes): Sister please thda aaram se... burning sensation feel ho rha bahut...
Nurse : Ghav thoda gehra hain... antibiotics toh lagani pdegi na...aap thda distract kijiye khudko...
The Nurse looked at Kavin, and gestured him to come near them.
She got up and whispered something in his ear.
Kavin listened to her and went near the bed, where Purvi was still flinching in pain. He sat near her. Purvi felt his warm presence and opened her eyes. He took her hand in his and started talking about random things.
The nurse came and did her first aid. She was shocked to see that this girl, a minute ago she was in so muchh pain and the moment Kavin sat near her and distracted her, she didn't feel anything.
The nurse winked at Kavin and Kavin just smiled at her as she left the room.
Kavin : Ab tumhara first aid ho gya hain, chup chap se so jaao.
Purvi : Nahi kv...I mean Kavin sir...I think we need to talk about what happened.
Kavin : hmm..tum uski chinta mat karo, mene apne khabriyo ko inform kar diya hain, woh pakda jayega.
Lekin ek baat samajh nhi aa rhi, woh mujhe kyu maarne aaya tha. Pehli tumhari Jaan pe khatra tha Mishti aur ab meri..
Kavin (pov): Mujhe khudki fikr nhi hain, lekin meri jaan agar tumhe kuchh ho gaya toh main kaise...kaise jee paunga...
Purvi : Haan. Wahin toh samajh nhi aa rhaa.
Kavin : Ek baat puchna thi tumse, ek dum sach sach batana.
Purvi (nervously): Jee sir.
Kavin : I know it's none of my business but tum wahan kya kar rhi thi uss jungle mein? Aur yeh Ram kaun hai???
Purvi was dumbstruck.
Purvi : Sir aapko kaise pata, ram k baare mein?
Kavin: Jitna puchha hain utna jawab do.
Purvi: Woh mera khabri hain sir, mene usse kuchh information nikalwayi thi ek case ke regarding, bas ussi ke liye gyi thi wahan...fir woh sab ho gaya.
Kavin was still not satisfied but he didn't say anything.
Kavin : Okay. And off duty Kv bula sakti ho....tumhare muh se wahin achha lgta hai...
Purvi just smiled
Purvi (pov): Kuchh toh sahi hi kar rahi hu main...pehle hi din mujhse kaha tha ki inhe sir bulau...aur aaj Kv bolne ki permission bhi de di. I hope sab kuchh jaldi se sahi ho jaaye.
Kavin (pov): Yeh kya bakwas ki hain abhi abhi tune. Gadha hain tu ek number ka. Kyu isse fir se sar pe chhdha Raha hai..
Kavin : Suno...ab tum so jaao. Main Nazar rkh raha hu aas paas.
Purvi : Haan. And she lied down on the bed. Kavin helped her with her blankets and sat on the stool.
In no time, purvi slept and Kavin was watching her sleep. He caressed her forehead and slept beside her.
