This chapter contains suicide.

————

I sat beside Pin and Grassy, watching as they both slept. I don't feel like sleeping right now.

Grassy has been through a lot, from what I've heard. Gosh, he had to kill his motherly figure, and he watched all his friends die? And his last friend killed someone directly in front of him? Poor kiddo.

Holding onto Pin's hand, I saw Grassy slowly wake up, holding his knees desperately. He blinked slowly, before rubbing his eyes and turning around to go back to sleep.

Goddamn it, life is boring. I'm watching a small child sleep because of boredom, isn't that weird?

I watch as Marker comes over, weary and looking behind him. He's clearly paranoid about something, and he holds onto his own hand. He sits and leans on a tree, and stares at the floor.

"You alright there?" I ask, curious about why he's sitting with us. Fanny and Lightning are his friends.

He looks over at me, and then looks back at the floor. "Y-Yeah. I'm just..." He paused, and took a deep breath in. "I spent so much time with Tree... just to find out he was a murderer, and- and he seemed so nice. I think back on it and think about how delusional I was, just wanting some sort of comfort, I guess."

Nodding at his words, I think about something. Puffball accused Needle, right? Tree as well, and he was a murderer.. so what if..?

"I think I know what you mean. Needle... I don't want to think it's her, but, well..." I stopped, not wanting to say anymore about her.

Marker played with the grass, wiping silent tears. "Fanny and Lightning won't talk to me."

"Why? You seem nice enough."

"Thats the point - they won't tell me..." Marker murmured. I could tell he regretted talking, but he also looked relieved that he had someone to talk to.

I began to speak. "Me and Pin-"

A rustling in the bushes took me by surprise, and so did Marker. "What was that?" He asked.

I shrugged, and he walked to the place where the noise came from. I stayed with Grassy and Pin, as he dug around, searching for whatever made that noise.

Something's wrong. I can hear footsteps, un-object-like, and growling that sounds dangerous.

"Marker, I don't think you should-"

Before I could continue, I heard Marker yell out. "Marker?!"

Behind the trees, Marker was held up by a claw-like limb, it cutting through his side. He held onto where the thing had stabbed him, and screamed. Paint had chipped off his side, replaced by blood dripping from his wound. I yelled out as well as I saw Marker's right arm strewn on the floor beside him, noticing the lack of said arm on his body.

A thought ran through my mind - and I acted quickly. "P-Pin, wake up!" I stammered.

"Wha.. Coiny, what's going on?"

Panicked, I told her: "Pin, get the fuck out of here."

She looked quizzically at me, and looked behind me. A look of horror was etched on her face when she spotted it, and she held her hand to her mouth to stop herself screaming.

Realisation crept across me as I whispered out a sentence. "It's right behind me, isn't it...?"

She nodded, and stepped back slightly. I felt a pang of fear, and I froze. I'm about to die, aren't I?

"NO! I'M NOT LETTING ANYONE ELSE DIE!" A small child yelled - Grassy. Shutting my eyes, I heard the thing growl and Grassy scream as a fleshy crunch echoed through the clearing. "COINY! WE HAVE TO GO!" Pin dragged me somewhere, my eyes still shut. I can't bear to look at the creature that possibly murdered 2 children.
