Break free

I sat on the grass, watching over the others from afar. I should stay away, nobody in the main group likes me. I'd be a target - and maybe even killed for revenge for Clock, Snowball, and the rest. Gosh, I hate them all. Well, most of them.

"Hey, Book." Needle approached me, holding her hand out to help me up. I took it.

"Hello Needle. What do you want?"

"Book... I'd like to tell you something - important."

Huh? Important?

"Yeah... okay. What is it?"

"I like you, Book. Love, maybe. And I think we could get far together, further than we could get with Cake."

Huh - a CONFESSION?! I wasn't expecting that...

"Needle, you're nice and all, but Pillow..."

"She's dead, Book. And we'll probably never see her again. Come to your senses." She yelled, and I could see annoyance in her face.

"I know, but it feels wrong."

"Book, are you trying to say we shouldn't work together? Do you want me to die?! Do you want me and Cake to lose this because of your own selfishness?!"

"Huh?! What, no, I would never-"

"Face it Book, we're stuck here because of YOU! If you hadn't killed Snowball and Clock, we might actually have a good chance at this! Is that what you're saying? That you want us to lose, die, be shunned by everyone else, and never be able to make friends again? Do you want that?"

Stunned silence filled the air when she stopped shouting, and guilt hung nearby.

"...Fine."

"If you really care, then prove it. Kill Grassy."

"GRASSY?! No, I can't, he's a child!"

"Oh, so now you gain a sense of sympathy? When it comes down to me? See how selfish you are, Book?!"

...

"I'm sorry. I'll do it."

(3rd person)

Things had been going badly in the afterlife. It'd been ages since it was last empty, and people were starting to lose relevance to others. And you know what they say, you don't really die until someone mutters your name for the last time.

For some, this had happened faster than they'd thought. Sometimes it'd take months, years. But they knew when it was happening - and it was only a ticking time bomb from the first symptom.

Robot flower was trying to keep everyone calm and make sure things were going smoothly. It was fine, until Nickel fell... 'ill.'

"My head really hurts.." he complained.

"It's probably just some sort of stress induced thing, you'll be fine." Golfball retaliated.

"No, it's... unnatural.."

"No shit, we're dead."

It started with a headache, and then loss of ability to move limbs. Short breathing, then fading, and then... death inside death. They'd fade until they disappear, which caused chaos throughout the other dead objects.

Luckily, only 1 object had faded so far, being forgotten by the living. Barf bag.

It was devastating watching others cry over her possibly permanent death, and scary.

Robot flower knew that everyone would be gone soon enough if they didn't find a way to stop it - and fast. The only person keeping her and Basketball (who helped her with the study) alive was Grassy. At least thats what they thought, since nobody else ever really talked to them.

Basketball watched over Grassy, trying to make sure he was alright, whilst also searching for a way back. So far, her efforts were futile.

"Robot flower, I think I found something!"

Nevermind.

"What is it?"

"A crack in the screen at this corner! It has some sort of void behind it, and if I put something in it, it appears in real life!"

"Oh my god, you don't know how good this could be! Now, if we could find a way to break through.."

A voice through the screen broke their thoughts.

'Kill Grassy.'

Basketball turned around, horror etched on her face. Everything else seemed to block out for her, as no matter how hard Robot flower tried, the ball never responded. Until she slammed her head into the screen.

Yells could be heard across the whole void, some screaming in confusion and others in fear. The glass-like screen shattered, and left behind a portal like structure that was just big enough for an object to walk through. Robot flower tried to stop Basketball, she ran straight through, and a couple seconds later the screen disappeared entirely.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Puffball yelled. Robot flower didn't respond.

She was too busy looking at the new screen she had summoned, staring at Basketball's faded appearance blocking the child from the murderer.

I teleported myself and Eraser into Three's lab, much against my free will. My head felt heavy and I didn't feel in control - well, clearly.

I looked around and spotted Pen - wait, Pen? Isn't he dead? whatever - in a cage, unconscious. I held onto Eraser's arm to stop him moving.

"So... what do you want?"

"Well, it's simple, Eraser. Kill the other algebralians, or i'll remove his limbs!" I said.

"I'm not doing that!"

"Do you want me to kill him over and over again? Do you want him to suffer? No. So you'll fucking do it."
