Hwan was waiting in the coffee shop, sitting on one of the stools around the counter. He kept looking down at his wrist watch to check the time. He was excited and impatient but he tried his best to stay calm and keep waiting. Waiting for her.
Hwan's pov :
I was excited to show her my office and the whole building. There was nothing more I wanted than to have her in my business as my employee... or a personal secretary.. or maybe more than that.
I was just waiting for her thinking about what'll be her. reaction seeing a new side of me. How will she react seeing my office and knowing about my business. I was in the middle of my thoughts until my excitement turned into nervousness.
The incident happened yesterday came to my mind. Her expressions when I held her face in my hands. The way she flinched-
"Oh i shouldn't have done that at all."
I mumbled to myself, rubbing my face. The way she just left without saying anything... I think she's mad.
But why? It was only a touch.. right?
Maybe not.
Maybe she isn't like other girls I've met. Maybe she doesn't like my touch or maybe she's just ... different.
But that's what makes her unique and beautiful, doesn't it?.
I think I should just apologize to her about yesterday.
I was in the middle of my thoughts when someone entered the coffee shop and made me snap our of my thoughts.
A black casual but cute dress, A small shoulder bag, white and black converse and a black big bow hair clip on her soft shiney hair.
What a sweet and beautiful sight.
I couldn't surpress a smile. I cleared my throat and stood up from my seat.
"You are exact 16 minutes late."
I spoke in a calm yet serious tone.
"Doesn't matter anyways. Let's go."
End of Hwan's pov.
Hwan walked towards Miki and looked at her before walking past her and signalling her to follow him to the car parked outside the coffee shop.
Miki immediately followed him.
After they both sat in the car, him on the driver's seat and Miki on the passenger's seat, he started the engine and started driving.
The ride was going quiet. Awkward silence between both of them. Nothing but the incident happened yesterday was still vivid in both their memories.
One was confused with the type of reaction he got from just a normal minor touch. While the other one was .... suddenly reminded of her past from that minor act.
Miki never wanted to experience something like that again. They way he just cupped her cheek in his hands was something Heeseung used to do alot.
Miki knows it shouldn't have affected her this much but it did. Heeseung was the first person to show her what Love is just to make her experience a heartbreak later.
Of course it caused alot of problems for her. Miki's heart was always as sensitive and weak as a flower. But now, with the patels that are falling slowly.Miki was still thinking about her past. She has been thinking about it since the yesterday's incident.
Miki sighed. Hwan looked at her for a moment, taking his eyes off the road. He can feel the air getting thick between them.
Hwan frowned a bit when he noticed her tired eyes and eye bags under her eyes. He sighed and finally decided to ask her.
"You didn't sleep last night?"
The question was more like a statement.
Miki looked at him and nodded quietly. Hwan clicked his tongue, a little bit pissed at her.
"And why is that?"
"I couldn't." Miki replied.
"Why?" Hwan was desperate to know why couldn't she sleep. But he was more desperate to know why she reacted that way.
"And ... about yesterday–" Hwan started but couldn't finish his sentence as Miki cut him off in an instant.
"Don't talk about it."
He couldn't help but get even more irritated. But he wasn't going to back away from this. He wants to know and so he'll know don't know how but he will.
"Tell me why did you react that way? Didn't you like it?"
"No." Miki quietly replied.
Hwan looked at her and then back at the road ahead while holding tightly on the steering wheel.
"Is there anything my touch reminded you of..?" Hwan suddenly asked making Miki shock.
Miki sighed. Hesitant at first but decided to answer. "Yes.."
"What is it? Miki, please I wanna know."
"Mr. Hwan it's nothin-"
"It's not nothing if it bothered you that much!" Hwan raised his voice at her for the second time in a while and of course he didn't want to.
"Sorry ... but, Miki.." said Hwan in a gentle tone, "I want you to tell me what's wrong. I want you to trust me and believe in me."
"I can't see you like this, so quiet and troubled"
Miki sighed and finally decided to share a part of her past with him, to tell him about her heart but not about Heeseung.
