After what felt like the longest and most awkward walk, they finally made it back to the house, Miss Raven was waiting for them at the door, an annoyed yet serious expression on her face.

"You two are 15 minutes late, could you explain the meaning of this?" She asked sternly when the teens reached the door, Elizabeth could tell that Miss Raven was specifically looking at Enoch, she glanced at Enoch who had an unamused expression, Enoch let out a breath through his nose and was about to speak

"It was my fault" Elizabeth spoke up, surprising both Miss Raven and Enoch "We encountered a ...problem on the way back and I suppose I... could not handle it, I apologize" she explained apologetically, miss Raven furrowed her eyebrows and looked at Enoch, who was looking at Elizabeth surprise.

"Well... I suppose since it was your first time visiting the town, you will be excused" she concluded "Now go inside, by the looks of your faces, it is possible we might get some... unpleasant visitors later, just leave the materials on the kitchen counter" she commented moving to the side to let the teens inside, they did as she said

Elizabeth was in her room, hurriedly removing the straps of the backpack, he was eager to set her wings free, she did not mind it at first but after a while it was uncomfortable, as she was getting the last strap off she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" Elizabeth called out, focused on getting the backpack off her, the door opened and Veronica peaked her head in

"Miss Raven is talking to some townspeople, and they seemed upset so you want to tell me what that is about?" Veronica began, Elizabeth tensed up at her words, she had forgotten about the confrontation from earlier, Veronica noticed this, she entered the room completely and closed the door

"Those boys are assholes, they like to mess with us when we go to town, we should have mentioned it before" Veronica reassured, Elizabeth finally managed to remove her backpack off her, stretching her wings.

"It is alright," she said quietly, Veronica nodded and smiled

"I heard you gave one of them a nasty scratch" she commented

"It was a bad situation, I am not exactly happy about what I did" Elizabeth spoke up, a little harsher than intended, Veronica kept silent, a little hurt but understanding, Elizabeth turned to her left to put the bag down

"Oh my god!" Veronica exclaimed, Elizabeth turned to face her perplexed, furrowing her eyebrows "What happened to your arm?" She asked concerned

Elizabeth looked down to look at her arm, and she noticed a small purple bruise forming on her upper arm, it did not look serious, but it was still very noticeable, all of the sudden Elizabeth seemed to go back to her timid self

"Oh umm... one... one of the boys... got a hold of my arm" she explained sheepishly, suddenly feeling a little embarrassed, she put her hand over her forearm to cover the bruise, Veronica scoffed

"Oh then they deserve whatever you guys did to them" she joked to lighten the mood

Suddenly they heard yelling coming from downstairs, Elizabeth and Veronica looked at each other before leaving the room to see the commotion, they went to the edge of the staircase, Sebastian and Heather were already there, peaking their heads to see the commotion, Enoch was there too but was standing a little farther away from them
