I am now 5 months pregnant, and we are going to have a gender party next week.

Today's the day we find out the gender of the baby which I am very excited about. I'm downstairs talking to my family about whether we want to know the gender or wait, and we finally came up with an idea which I think is an amazing idea. Javon walks in and I smile as he gives a hug. "Today's the day" He smiles kissing my cheek. "You guys look so cute together," my mom said, and I laughed.
I lay on the bed waiting for my doctor. "I'm so excited" I smiled, and he looked at me nodding.
"How are you two" The doctor asked, taking a seat. "Good," I said looking at Javon and grabbed is hand.
"Lift your shirt please," The doctor says, and I lift my shirt as she puts the gel on my stomach. She rubs my stomach with the ultrasound microphone thing. I looked at the TV and saw my baby. "That's the heartbeat," The doctor says, as we listen to a sound that fills the room. My eyes start to get watery with happy tears. "You want to know the gender?" She asked, putting the stuff away.
"No. Can you call my mom or dad and tell them and then they're going to throw us a gender reveal party next week" I smiled as she wiped the gel off. "Well, congrats," she says, walking out of the room. I got up and walked out without saying a word to Javon.
"What do you think it is" Javon smiled. "I think it's going to be a girl," I said. " I think it's going to be a boy," Javon said.
AT HOME "How did the appointment go?" My mom asked once we walked into the living room. Everyone else was upstairs I guess, and Mom and dad were cuddling on the couch. "Good," I say with no emotion. "The doctor called" She smiled, and I just nodded.
