CHAPTER NINETEEN
[ real life / instagram ]
❛ girlhood, ain't it something? ❜
Marnie rushed into her house, her arms full of bags as she buzzed from excitement. Tonight was finally girls night, and while Marnie knew they'd simply hound her about Lando, she was so excited to see all of her friends and hang out with them again.
She had been out all morning, driving around and picking up stuff from different shops. She had a lot of alcohol, snacks and cake because she knew that they all craved cake when they drink alcohol. Marnie had set up everything in the living room, placing pillows and blankets around and moving the coffee table into the corner so they could all sprawl across the floor and sofa as much as possible. Kelly had preordered takeout that would arrive when everyone had turned up, they were nearly ready.
"I'm home." Marnie called out, walking towards the kitchen to deposit her bags.
"Hey." Marnie looked up in surprise to see Max stood there, leaning against one of the counters.
"Hi." Marnie forced a smile onto her face. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to check on you." Max answered. "Plus it's my house."
