I walked into Jake's home to see everybody walking in and out.
Decorations everywhere along with drinks. Cardi b played loudly throughout the house.
I seen my bestfriend maiesha, I found myself walking towards her.
"Hey girl" she spoke softly and I hugged her which she returned.
"Hey esha" I spoke with a smile. "I like your hair" she spoke and I smiled.
"Trying sum shit new" I spoke "I've been hearing yo music" I spoke and she smiled.
"You fuck with it?" She spoke. "Hell yeah" I spoke. "I'm glad you do, even tho Jemma over there trynna give her attention to a stud that don't want nun but some pussy" she spoke.
I laughed at her sentence. "I see lightskin waves black thermal seven o clock" I spoke seeing a tall lightskin.
She turned to where I was looking. "Oh girl 𝑏𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑟𝑖?" She spoke. "Girl ion know his name" I spoke.
"Lightskin, black thermal, waves, tall.. that's bakari" she spoke.
I hummed as a response "go get yo shit on him and his girl of a month broke up a few weeks ago to" she spoke softly.
I nodded as I told her to give me a sec. He was leaned against the counter drinking sum, with his phone in his hand on it.
I walked towards him and I stood next to him. "Damn who pissed you off" I spoke.
The music played faintly in the back as his eyes went to mine. Then they skimmed over my outfit.
"Nobody" he spoke. "I haven't seen you around" he added on.
"Yeah I'm Jake's sister, and maiesha bestfriend" I spoke.
"You and that nigga don't look nothing alike" he spoke.
"Cause he lighter with dreads?" I spoke. "Na." He said.
"You fine and seem cool asfk and he ain't" he spoke and I smiled.
"Thank you" i spoke. "Come here" I spoke and he walked a lil closer to me.
I stood on my tippy toes and my mouth was close to his ear.
"𝐷𝑂 𝑌𝑂𝑈 𝑊𝐴𝑁𝑁𝐴 𝑃𝐴𝑅𝑇𝑌 𝑊𝐼𝑇𝐻 𝑀𝐸?" I spoke softly before getting off my tippy toes and looking at him.
He looked at me, I looked at him. He gave me a small yes.
I grabbed his hand and maiesha looked at me and I winked at her.
She shook her head and smiled and mouthed a good luck.
We walked outside of the house. We began to walk down the street.
"What's ya name" he spoke Chicago accent clear. Lil thick ahh stop trynna flirt with me.
"Halo" I spoke looking at me. He put to the right of him so he would be on the outside of me.
"Bakari" he spoke. "I know" I spoke. "How you know?" He spoke.
"Mai" I spoke. "Mmh, how come Ian never seen you around Jake?" He asked.
"I be in my own shit, I don't live with Jake this my first pop out in a hot minute. I'm a brand ambassador, and an influencer. I'm thinking about coming out more cause it's lit as fuck especially cause I made a new friend" I spoke licking over my lips looking at him.
He listening to ever word I was saying. "Oh shit, you a lil famous" he spoke.
"Na ion like to do to much feel me, im always on some cool shit and when I am up there with drake n nem, I'm going to act the same exact way. I don't take no shit not talk no shit" I spoke.
"You a real ass nigga where the fuck you been all my life?" He spoke and I smiled.
We walked into Smokey's seeing papa and Kenya. "Hey halo" papa spoke. I hug him which I returned.
"How you know ha?" Bakari spoke. "Me and papa met in pre-k. I was apart of the trio for a minute" I spoke.
He nodded, "and who's this fine young lady" I spoke softly.
"Back up, this my girl Kenya" papa spoke. "Hello Kenya" I spoke.
"Hi" she spoke. "And papa I don't want yo girl besides... I'm straight" I spoke.
"You trynna smoke?" Bakari spoke I nodded. We walked out the store.
He grabbed the blunt from behind his ear sparking it.
He took a puff passing it to me. I took a puff holding in the smoke.
This continued 3 blunts later. I took a puff and then He picked me up one hand holding me on his back while my hands wrapped around his neck.
He kissed me. We were passing the smoke back and forth before he let it out.
Shotgunning it. He put my down. "You been wanting to do that shit huh?" I spoke.
"Hell yeah, just wanted an excuse" he spoke. "Come on walk me home" I spoke and he nodded.
I walked ahead of him and we began this 10 minute walk.
As soon as we made it to my house. I unlocked my door before turning around.
I got on my tiptoes kissing him once more and he kissed back.
We both pulled away and I licked my lips. "Goodnight bakari.."I spoke.
"Goodnight halo" he spoke. I looked at him one more time before walking into my apartment closing the door.
I locked the door thinking about how I didn't even get his number we was to busy talking .
