ALINA

Ow, my head. I winced rubbing the sore spot on the back of my head. My eyes fluttered open but I was still completely encased in darkness.

It was so dark even my vampiric eyes couldn't penetrate the black void. I blinked as a feeling of dread washed over me.

It felt like the darkness was closing in. It was getting harder to breathe. I moved to sit up and only had enough room to crane my neck when my forehead smacked against something solid.

"What the hell?" I murmured and reached up with my hands.

As my hands lay flat against a hard surface, I started to hyperventilate. I pushed my arms out and came into contact with hard walls.

I'm- I'm in a coffin!

A scream lodged in my throat as I fought panic. My heart was racing. My breath grew heavier. I was suffocating.

No, I need to calm down. I'll run out of air.

The logical part of me was slipping away as claustrophobia kicked in. I pushed with all my might at the ceiling of the coffin. I used my hands, knees, feet, anything I could. The top wouldn't budge.

I slammed my fists against it as desperation kicked in. I was breathing heavily now. My head starting to spin.

No, no, no.

"Help! Someone help! Let me out! Help!" I screamed as tears streamed down my face. I was feeling hopeless. No one would hear me. I was going to die here.

A small opening the size of a matchbox opened above me right over my face. I gasped as air filled my lungs and I took a deep breath.

Suddenly a veiled face appeared and I screamed as they reached through the opening.

AIZAWA

"Any word?" I asked Midoriya as I draped a damp cloth over Himiko's forehead.

She had broken into a fever from lying on the floor in the cold and having a portion of blood drained from her body.

"No. Todoroki is still searching the front yard for Dabi and Bakugou." He shook his head as he checked on Jin. He was still unconscious, but hasn't broken into fever.

"Why haven't they woken up yet?" He asked.

"I don't know. It could be many things. They could be drugged for all I know." I sat up and gasped.

Of course!

"Drugged? You think so?" Midoriya gasped.

"I do. Those two holes in their necks were made to look like fangs, but what if they were from a needle?" I hummed, studying Himiko's neck.

"It makes sense, but why drain some of her blood, but not his?" Midoriya sat back on his haunches with a puzzled frown.

"I have a theory. Himiko wasn't on drugs or a drinker, or anything of the sort, but Jin smoked a pack a day minimum. He's also been known to hit the bottle and back in the day was busted for drugs, so it's possible whoever did this wanted clean blood." I explained.

"It's a good theory." Midoriya nodded in agreement.

The door opened and Todoroki entered and crossed the room to hug Midoriya in greeting.

"No sign of them?" I asked.

"No. Fresh snow has already covered their tracks. I circled the perimeter twice. There's no sign of them, Alina, or her mother. I haven't even seen any other people." He shook his head.
