It has already been a week since Sakura returned to the office, and she dreaded every second of it. Not only did her father hire a new intern, but now he was her new babysitter? Sakura didn't know what else to call it, but having someone make sure she didn't do anything "harmful" seemed self-explanatory.She wasn't sure how she felt about Sasuke, other than the fact that he was a new addition to the office. She would be lying if she said his work ethic wasn't what she was expecting though.
He caught on fast and now knew his way around the office. From reviewing financial statements to faxing papers and attending meetings, he seemed like a natural.
Sure, she hated the business side of things and anyone involved in business in general. It had to do with the fact that her ex-boyfriend was in that field. She just associated anyone in that field with her ex.
Call it generalizing if you will.
Sakura was curious, and that curiosity led her to search him up one day. She sat down in front of her computer, debating whether it was even worth her time. After all, she only talked to Sasuke casually if it had anything to do with work. But she made her decision and typed in his name. His last name, "Uchiha," sounded familiar... was his family rich? Famous? The name seemed like she had heard of it before.
It only took a few seconds for multiple articles about the "Uchiha" name to pop up. They were a prominent family well-known in Konoha, and Sasuke came from a family business as well. But it wasn't just any business like her father's. No, Sasuke's family owned multiple businesses across Konoha and managed them through their parent's branch, 'Uchiha Corp.'
Sakura scoffed as she scrolled through the article; it made a lot more sense why he was so good at his job. It wasn't because he was a business major, but because he came from a well-known family.
One thing she noticed about the raven-haired intern was how quiet and reserved he was most of the time. Sure, they exchanged sarcastic comments with each other, but for the most part, he was stoic. They mostly ignored each other.
It was definitely weird.
That's what she wanted. She didn't want to be forced to interact with anyone in the office, except to finish her work. She had recently come to an agreement with her father that if she found a paid internship, she could quit her duties at the office.
Sighing, she laid back on her bed as she scrolled through her phone. Most internships didn't pay, especially in the medical field. Internships were basically like medical clinicals.
Suddenly, an interruption caused her to jolt from her relaxed position as her phone continued to vibrate.
