Mizuki: Alright, back to the temple! And no shenanigans this time, or we aren't sparring for three months.
Ghirahim: Fine fine, no need for such a strict punishment.
Ghirahim grabbed Mizuki's waist and teleported them both to the temple.
Ghirahim: From here I believe we head west, and there is a puzzle in the middle of the room that seemingly can't be solved.
Upon entering the room Mizuki fiddled with the puzzle before knocking on it.
Mizuki: Well no wonder, it sounds pretty hollow. Help me with this real quick please.
Mizuki worked on trying to disassemble the exterior of the mechanism. With a little help from Ghirahim the exterior shell popped off.
Mizuki: Missing... gears, pulley chain, and power source. I think that's it...
Ghirahim: And you know this how?
Mizuki: Naoko, he's a mechanic. Remember? Since he knows what everything is and how to fix it, we made stuff together... Now then... We should start looking for the parts.
Ghirahim: There are signs of Bokoblins being in here, perhaps they took the parts.
Mizuki: That would explain the damage on the outer shell.
Ghirahim: Alright, then I guess we are going back through the rooms of the temple.
Mizuki and Ghirahim split up, both looking for the missing parts.
Mizuki: Found one I think... Yes! The power source, thank goodness.
Within an hour, Mizuki had found all the missing parts. She had found all of them by accident but was ecstatic after finding them. She put the pieces back into place as she waited for Ghirahim. Her excitement and desperation made her impatient. Mizuki yelled to Ghirahim, hoping he would hear her.
Mizuki: I FIXED THE DOOR! I'M GONNA GO AHEAD AND GO IN OKAY?
Mizuki stepped through the door that was immediately locked behind her. Suddenly a large beast jumped down from the nook it was hiding in. Before she could swing her sword she was hit by the monster, sending her into the wall behind her. Mizuki felt some of the debris, from the broken wall, piercing her skin. As the monster swung again she ran behind one of the pillars in the room. The pillar shattered, leaving Mizuki as exposed as before. She tried to hit the beast again, and dodged successfully as it tried to swipe at her as it had before.
Mizuki: The pillars... maybe I can make it collapse the platform while it's underneath it...
Mizuki ran behind the next pillar and tried to lure the monster into the right spot. It swung at her again, shattering yet another pillar, making part of the platform fall onto it.
Mizuki: Fuck, that hit my leg!
Mizuki pushed through the pain and went to the next pillar. And pillar after pillar, Mizuki would have the beast damage itself. Finally, the final pillar, that should kill the monster. As the monster swung Mizuki's leg gave out. The pillar broke and the platform came down, killing the beast and pinning Mizuki down. Mizuki's eyes filled with tears as she wailed in misery.
Mizuki: No, I can't go out like this! Fuck fuck fuck.
As she tried to struggle out she made things worse.
Ghirahim: MIZUKI!
Ghirahim threw himself down on the floor to help Mizuki. As he removed the rubble she screamed in pain. He held her in his arms, as he tried to heal her.
Ghirahim: Why isn't this working?! Why didn't you wait for me?! I was handling enemies, it wouldn't have been much of a wait!
Mizuki spoke as best as she could, trying to apologize.
Mizuki: I'm... sorry. I should have... waited. I'm sorry... Ghirahim.
Ghirahim: Don't do this to me, hold on Zuki I'm going to heal you and you'll be just fine.
Mizuki fought the urge to close her eyes as Ghirahim tried to heal her again.
Mizuki: Thank... you... I'm sorry... Tell... them I'm... sor...
And with that Mizuki was gone, her body laid lifeless in Ghirahim's arms.
Ghirahim: The relic, maybe the relic could...
Ghirahim's words drifted off as he spotted a treasure chest. He opened it and inside was a silver amulet with crystals embedded in it. He grabbed it and rushed back to Mizuki. He removed the rubble before trying to heal her again. As he used his magic the amulet began glowing, and suddenly Mizuki's body was healed. He held her as he made sure she was alive.
Ghirahim: Mizuki?! Mizuki, are you okay?! Are you back?!
Mizuki: I died... How am I-? The relic? You saved me with the relic?!
Mizuki tackled him into a kiss, hugging him tightly as she cried in his arms.
Mizuki: If I didn't know those were my tears streaming down your face I would say you're crying.
Ghirahim pulled her back into a kiss before finally letting her go.
Ghirahim: Don't ever do that again.
Mizuki: Don't worry, that felt like shit, I won't do anything like that again. I swear my legs still hurt.
Ghirahim picked her up and teleported them to her house. He laid her down in her bed and went to get her some food and water.
Ghirahim: Here, some food and water if you can handle it.
Mizuki: Oh, you're spoiling me with lunch in bed?
Ghirahim: You're insane if you think I'm letting you do all of this yourself.
Mizuki: Well if you're doing me favors, could you do me one more and come lay with me?
Ghirahim laid down next to her and wrapped his arms around her. Mizuki looked at the food on her nightstand and turned away, she didn't want the food she wanted him. Mizuki rolled over and nuzzled into Ghirahim.
Ghirahim: Here my queen, is that more comfortable?
With a small spell Ghirahim instantly changed Mizuki's clothes into her pajamas.
Mizuki: Much better, thank you Love.
In the morning Mizuki woke to Ghirahim bringing her breakfast in bed.
Mizuki: Thank you... Can we go back to their grave today?
Ghirahim: Are you sure you're feeling up to it?
Mizuki: Yeah, I'm fine thanks to you. I just hope the relic wasn't a one time use thing.
Ghirahim: Alright my love, we can leave whenever you're ready.
Mizuki held onto Ghirahim as he teleported them to the hill where Mizuki's friends were buried. She used her magic to dig them up, testing the amulet's power. She smiled as the relic began glowing, its power speeding up the process. Once her friends were fully uncovered she began healing them, the magic amulet was glowing again. Suddenly her friends were healed, just as Mizuki had healed. She waited but they didn't seem to move, until Tariku sat up and held his head.
Tariku: My head hurts.
Kamila: My side hurts.
Lucia: I feel like I just got stabbed in the stomach.
Mizuki's eyes widened as she saw her friends alive once again. She rushed over and hugged all three.
Mizuki: You're alive again! It worked!
Tariku: Alive again?
Kamila: Girl, what do you mean again?
Lucia: I think we died...
Mizuki: You did! But now you're back! I can't wait to take you back to the others!
Tariku: How did you revive us?
Mizuki: It's thanks to Ghirahim, he helped me find this magic amulet!
Kamila: I guess he isn't as bad as we thought...
Lucia: Thank you, both of you!
