I look for you in the setting sun
In crimson skies and lullabies.
I look for you in shooting stars
And in cool autumn rains.
Maybe I'll see you
Among the bright, falling leaves.
Maybe I'll hear your laughter
Mingle with the babbling of a stream.
I look for you in the morning dew
And behind the trees of snowy forests.
I search for you
Among the pages of books
Both of which are new
And of those we once read together.
I look for you in crowds
In every happy face.
I search for you
In high, blue June skies
Maybe I'll spot your image in a cloud.
Sometimes I almost think
I feel your presence
In sad songs late at night
But it could just be all in my head.
It's been
I don't even know how long anymore
Since you left.
Years and years at least.
But maybe I never gave up hope
Because I thought
That I'd still
Somehow
Manage
To
Find
You.
