Chapter 25

Enmu, that's the name of the demon standing in front of you. Suddenly, a dream demon enters your dream, and it's him who gave you this particular dream in which you were with your deceased family in your former home. Although you miss them, you have already moved on from the past and are not dwelling on it. You were staring fiercely at the demon he had conjured up in your dream at this very moment. "I can't believe Muzan-san will spare a life for a lowermoon; tell me what you said to him to make him spare your life."

Enmu chuckles a little. "That lord, trust me to kill the one with the Hanafuda earrings and the Hashira together, but he tells me not to touch you. It makes sense why..." He gestured toward your family, his face somewhat flushed. "It's because you're not an ordinary human, aren't you?" Your expression suddenly become gloomier without saying anything. "I can see your memories about your deceased family members and their clothes," he said. "I think it's not from this century. Do you agree? I'm going to venture to say that the outfit was worn more than a few thousand years ago."

"So what if I'm not an ordinary human?" you smirk. "What actions will you take to address this?" You approach him. "And I realized that why are you only invasion in my dream?" Enmu grinned maniacally at your question, his cheeks flushed even more, and then shifted the conversation to your family. "I was wondering, aren't you missing your family?" You turned to face your deceased sister as he pointed once more at your family. "Please (N/n), don't you feel like you're missing us? Like before, we can be happy." Your sister held out her hand as if to invite you to accompany them.

"Pfft..." When you laugh aloud, Enmu's eyes widen as if you've just heard the greatest joke ever. That was not what he expected. "O-oh my god, oh my god," You wiped away your tears with gentleness. "Enmu-san, I've told you, you shouldn't invade my memories." You give him a dagger-like gaze. To get you to wake up, you pulled out your fan and then sliced your throat. Enmu found your conduct shocking. 'This woman. People should normally be terrified of dying, yet this woman took her own life in order to wake up from her dream. It's alright, though. I've already fused with the train and only need to capture her before the other demon slayers awaken.'

When you awoke, you noticed that everyone else was still asleep and Nezuko was attempting to rouse his brother. You unexpectedly witnessed Kyojuro strangling a girl while he was asleep, and you also noticed that they had a rope tied around their wrist. However, why wasn't there a rope around your wrist? Nezuko then knocked her brother with her head, causing her to bleed on her forehead. She ran to you and gave you a hard hug while sobbing after realizing that you had woken up.

You kneel at Nezuko's level and give her a gentle stroke on the head, saying, "Now, now, feeling better." Nezuko, her wound healed, nodded. "Let me try to wake your brother up, okay?" you said with a kind smile. Nezuko nodded and dragged you over to Tanjiro. Gazing at Tanjiro, your thoughts turned to how to rouse him without disclosing your identity. Suddenly, a light bulb appears in your head. Nezuko approaches you with a slight bend of her head once you order her to. "Nezuko, can you try to use your blood demon art to burn Tanjiro?"

Nezuko nodded and raised her palm to her brother, knowing just what you wanted to accomplish. Tanjiro was surrounded by a large pink fire that was put out a few minutes later. Tanjiro was instantly wide awake. You gave him a gentle touch on the back while he was panting furiously, and he recognized you were awake. He grinned, "(Y/n)-san, I'm glad that you were alright." After glancing around, he declared, "We also need to wake them up." He got up to try to rouse them up, but you intervened and reassured him that they would soon wake up. "First, we ought to address a few children who collaborate with the demon."

Although Tanjiro wasn't entirely sure what you had said, as was to be expected, a young child with a sharp knife attempted to stab you and angrily yelled, "Don't disturb me to get a good dream!" But you escaped her blow. Tanjiro approached you and inquired, "(Y/n)-san, are you alright? Did she cause you any harm?" To which you said, "Yeah, I'm good. But the demon is up there." You faced the children as you stepped in front of Tanjiro. "I will be handling these kids; you go handling the demon first; I will catch up to you later." After nodding, Tanjiro said, "Don't be too hard on them," and then he dashed on.
