Jean walked out of the headquarters with the guard and towards where the commotion was. She slightly grimaced when she heard the terrible things the people were saying and it was only getting louder and louder. Her heels clicked against the stone ground and stairs, she tried to look through the crowd and see what was happening but her view was blocked by the people.

Sighing in annoyance she stepped through the crowd which wasn't for long since they instantly parted to let her through. The people whispering amongst themselves at the sight of her. "It's Jean!" One said while looking at the tall blonde. "It's the Acting Grandmaster!" "Hopefully she arrests these freaks." "Throw them in the cell they belong."

You didn't know what they were saying or talking about but you knew that it couldn't be anything good from the way the people looked at you then at each other. Then you saw Jean. She walked over to your family and you instinctively blocked her way from your family. "Stay away." You said while standing in front of her. The blonde stared at you in confusion and disbelief, so the knight was right, these fatui did speak a strange language.

"Come with me." She said and before you could respond, she walked away. You decided to follow her since she looked back at your family and you while she was moving. Grabbing your parent's hands, you pulled them along with you. You could hear your father whispering curses in your native tongue while your mother mumbled things you couldn't make out.

You continued to follow Jean while pulling your parents with you. You looked backed nervously at the crowd who glared and shouted things at you and your family, causing you to subconsciously squeeze your parents hands for comfort. They squeezed your hand back. You sped up, wanting to get away from the noises of anger.

When you got to the Headquarters, Jean pulled you all into her office. Closing the door behind all of you, she made her way to her desk and began speaking with you all. You pretty much zoned out since you couldn't understand her. Oh would you look at that.

You're in a jail cell.

You zoned back in and looked around the cell and you grabbed the iron bars. One of the guards had locked the cell door and trapped you in there with your parents.

"No no no no! Get us out! We haven't done anything wrong!" You screamed to the guard who had quickly left the room. You pulled at the bars, wanting to get out. You heard sniffles and stopped what you were doing and turned around, facing your parents. You instantly felt your heart swell with sadness, your mother was silently crying while your father wiped her tears away carefully with his giant gloved hands. You wanted to say something, anything to them but the words seemed to die in your throat.

Finally after what felt like an eternity, you mustered out a "mommy." Your mother perked her head up at you. "Baby." She responded. You moved closer to her and she instantly grabbed you and pulled you into a hug. Despite the obvious height difference, you just wanted her to hold you in her arms, just like she always did.

She sat down on the bed in the corner and you laid down next to her, resting your head on her thigh. She carefully ran her fingers through your hair and gently massaged your scalp. You instantly calmed down and rested against her when all of a sudden...

"Mom. Where's B/n and S/n?" You began to panic again but she instantly calmed you down by brushing your hair with her fingers. "I sent them to the camp to get the dog. They'll be back." Your mother answered in a calm tone. You decided to take her word for it and calmed down but only a little bit.

There, you silently laid with the only sounds being the sounds of breathing. Everyone was tense but tried to remain as relaxed as possible which was a bit difficult considering the situation at hand.

Hours passed with no sign of anyone coming to rescue you or help. Your father was sleeping on the floor with a pillow. "I'm too large for the bed." Is what he said when you tried to offer him your spot. "Besides, I want you to sleep comfortably with your mother." Which made you finally accept it. So there you laid, your momma's arms wrapped around your body, holding you close.

She was fast asleep just like your dad but you were the only one awake. You couldn't sleep, how could you sleep in these conditions? Your mind was racing with possibilities as to why your siblings were taking so long to come. 'Please, please come here.' You pleaded in your mind even though you knew no one would answer you. You sighed and closed your eyes to get some sleep.

It took a while but your mind started to drift off into rest. Until...

*Shuffle shuffle*

Your eyes snapped open and you sat up and gently moved your mom's arm away, looking around the dark jail. You didn't see anything so you laid back down. Closing your eyes again and tried to sleep again. But...

*shuffle shuffle*

You opened your eyes again and sat up, you looked around the cell and down to your parents. None of them were awake or moving. You sighed and laid back down, shutting your eyes and attempting to rest. Yet...

*shuffle shuffle*

You keeps your eyes closed and hoped for the noise to stop anytime soon so you could finally sleep. After a minute it sounded like it stopped and you relaxed against the mattress and blanket.

*shuffle shuffle*

'Are you serious?!!! I'm trying to sleep!' You screamed in your head as you sat up in anger. Climbing over your mother and getting off the bed, you walked up to the cell door and peeked out of the small space between each pole. When suddenly something licked your face, causing you to scream in surprise.

Your scream woke up your parents and they launched up to their feet and made their way to you. "What's wrong?" Your father asked you in concern. "S-something licked my face!" You stuttered in shock. And then you heard a familiar voice you thought you wouldn't hear again.

"(Dog name)! Don't do that!" The person whispered yelled. "Wait, S/n?" You asked in confusion and happiness. "Yeah it's me and B/n." As soon as you heard those words, you felt like you could cry in happiness. Your siblings were able to unlock the cell door and let you and your parents out. You left the cell and looked around before looking down at them. "Thank you." You smiled at your siblings and they smiled back.

"Cmon, let's leave this stupid place." B/n said as his furry abyss mage body climbed onto (Dog name)'s back, followed by your sister. You all left the jail sneakily and silently. You walked through the city of Mondstadt and were nearing the exit.

It felt so close yet so far. It was like a reward. The reward being freedom. You sped up, your foot was just an inch near the exit when you heard a voice.

"Hold it right there."
