❝ „I'm just gonna say, it was supremely satisfying watching you wipe the floor with Jeremiah after everything he put you through," Taylor walks up next to me.
I hold the bunny tight. „Taylor, come on. I mean, he and I are.. fine. It was fun, even."
„Really? You guys can just, like, have fun together casually now?"
I sigh, „Yeah, I guess."
„Really?" she doesn't seem to believe me and to be honest, I don't believe myself either, „That's kind of major."
She stays and talks to Steven while I walk a little further, until Connie comes up to me.
„Hey, Conrad. Do you smell that?" I ask him.
„What?"
„I think I smell, uh, a comeback."
He raises a brow, „Oh, do you?"
I nod, laughing, „Yeah, I do."
„You sure about that? Cause if you're sure, I mean, I'd be willing to make a little side bet."
That sparks my interest, „ All right. Keep talking."
„I was just thinking, if you wanted, um..maybe whichever one of us loses has to ride the Tower of Terror," he suggests.
I chuckle, „You used to cry every time you looked at the Tower of Terror."
Connie tries to defend himself.
I pat his shoulder, „I'm very excited to see it happen again."
He shrugs his shoulders as he leaves, „Okay. You're on then."
„Did I hear you talking about the Tower of Terror? Because I'm pretty sure that's only gonna end with one of you in tears," Jeremiah walks up to me.
I face him, „Yeah, well, better him than me, right?"
He nods and chuckles, „Agreed."
„And I mean at least he'll be in a good mood right up until he sheds his first tear. You know competition is the key to making Conrad happy. I mean, I know you both very well."
