Unexpected Match

CHAPTER:15

•Ishan's pov•

We were totally in our own world.
Just as the waiter came
"Sir, would you like anything else or should I bring your bill?". Waiter asked

"Bill please" hardik said. Not taking his eyes off me.

Why does he keep doing this, always looking at me.
Am I the same? Do I keep staring at hardik all the time .
Yeah I suppose i always do.
I've only ever looked at him looked for him.
But have he ever looked for me?

We drove back to the hotel and he tells me to take rest because we have our next match soon.

As he dropped me at my room and I get changed and now I am settled in my bed. I am remembering all the incidents of these past few days. Coscentrating mostly on this evening.
'how he never diverted his attention from me'.
'treated me so right '.
'even held open all the doors for me'

Some thing strikes me, this had been in my mind all along, when he was telling me about his past .

Although Surya bhaiya said he'll be back to his room and I'll be in mine when we're in Kolkata. He never talked to me about it .

Hardik and Surya are still sharing the same room.

And they way I saw them in the hotel room last time. What was the reason behind it. He never told me.

It isn't like I am going to ask him or anything.
I won't ask him, how can I ask for anything.
I dunno where did I get the courage to as him if i could be the home person to him. 😵‍💫

But if he had to say anything about it, he would have , probably.
I drifted to sleep thinking about these things.....

We're practicing and it's early evening, I had my glasses on. But there was a certain someone I am stairing at. 'no body's gonna know ' I keep telling myself. As I am sitting and watching them practice .

Hardik and Surya.
They are perfect for eachother.
'I know, I know, hardik told me he loves me!. But what I saw, a few times already, they won't stop bugging me. Don't get me wrong, I like surya Bhai.'
Yet there's a part in me that keeps telling me , 'is there something still going on between them?'
Hardik said all about Natasa, but he never said anything about Surya or anyone else .

I am deep in my thoughts when someone hugs me on the shoulder.
"Sweetie ase ghoor ghoor k kyun dekh rha hai hardik Bhai ko? Kha jayega kya?" He said.
 
I wanted to say'kha toh jana chahta hun, hai hi itna pyara'.
Instead i say
"You don't know what or who I am looking at!"

"Of course i know, everyone knows dude. You're always ghooring hardik" he said and laughed

"I do?" I ask unmindfully
"Yes, that too very intensely . But right now asa lag rha tha you're gonna kill Surya for practicing with Hardik!" He laughs again. I couldn't make myself laugh

I thought I wasn't this predictable since hardik never approached or acknowledged me .

"So what's going on between you two?"
He asked

"What's going on between those two?" I nudged my chin towards hardik and Surya,

"Mmmm..... They're practicing?"he said confused
"I dunno man what do you imply?" He asked

"They're always together. Remember you asked to change rooms and Surya said we'll be back with our room mates when we're at Eden garden.
"And we are at Eden garden, yet he haven't said a word about it!." I say.

"He must have forgotten, they're always roommates na so it's so easy for them to forget that they belong anywhere else!" He said without any second thoughts.
