Percy's POV:

I finally got out of that boring meeting, I mean the very important meeting I loved to attend. It took a while and was basically just the council arguing about what new security meassures they should take and what new Rebel attacks occured while I sat there, not getting any say about anything. I honestly don't know why they insist I attend the meetings, something about me having to make decissions later...I don't know.

I was making my way from Paul's study, the room we had chosen to hold the meeting in, to the gardens. So I could finally have some peacefull time with my Wise girl.

When I got to the gardens I realised that she was not there. Where could she- ...her room. I turned around and went to the kitchen to inform the maids of my change in plans. She is probably working on her sketches or maybe the plans for next week, hm... There weren't many people in the kitchen, only a few maids. I stepped closer to one, Cassy, and got her attention.

"Hey Cassy, could you guys bring the food to my room instead of the gardens?" She nodded "Of course my prince. Should we be wary of the council seeing us?" "No, but if someone of the council does see you and asks why you have so much food could you say it is for my mother?"

"Yes, of course" I nodded to her in thanks and walked out of the kitchen to the 3rd floor. On my way to Annabeth's room I bumped into my mother. "Hey mom." "Hello sweetheart, how was the meeting? I rolled my eyes "It was very boring, I do not understand why they insist I attend them. All they do is argue and not listen to a word I say"

My mother gave me a simpathetic look. "They want you to attend to prepare you for when you are king. As for the arguing and not listening, you should just take it as a sign that they are interested in the kingdom. If they were not then they wouldn't argue about what the best course of action is, and they will listen when they realise that you are not just some child but a compitent person. If they do not then that is very sad for them because they will have to take your opinion in count when you are king."

"Thanks mom, that really helped." She smiled at me. "No problem sweetheart, where were you going?" "I was just going to see Annabeth. We made plans to meet up at the garden but she was not there so I am going to see if she is in her room. I also kind of told the maids to say that the food was for you if someone on the council saw them." She laughed at that. "Yes, I imagine she might be there. Always preparing, if she isn't sketching than she is making plans and finalizing details. I am happy that you are friends with her, you are good influences on each other. You take each others mind of all the work. Maybe one day you could be more than friends and do not worry about the food. Anything to help my son have a nice date with my future daughter in law."

Before I even got a chance to reply to that statement she cut me off. "Oh hush, I know you have a crush on her even if you do not see it. I am your mother, I see all that. Now I will not hold you off any longer, go on and have your little date. I have to find Estella, she escaped from the maids again while they were trying to put her in the bath, so now we have a little princess running around in her night gown instead of a dress." With that she walked away.

I was still blushing when I made it to the 3rd floor. I walked to Annabeth's room and saw Frank standing guard. I smiled and nodded at him and he smiled back before I walked inside of her room. She was sketching a tiny building. It looked like a cabin but then way more fancy and beautifull, as always.

"Hey, Wise Girl. You scared me, you know. I thought something might have happened but apparently uou just stood me up. I don't understand how tho. I mean, who could resist this pretty face?" She turned to me, looked me up and down and answered without missing a beat. "I mean, with that face it was not really that hard. All I had to do was grab a sketch."

"Ouch Wise Girl, am I not as important as your sketches?" I looked at her, feigning hurt. "Nope" She laughed looking at my hurt face and put her sketch away. "So, what did you want to do?" I looked away from her and said,"Well, I was planning on having a picnic in the gardens but someone didn't show up so now we are doing it in my room."

She rolled her eyes at that and stood up. I smiled at her and took her hand, leading her to my room. When we got there the maids had already dropped the food off. She looked at all the food and took a strawberry. "So, trying to bribe me with food huh? What did you do now?"

I put a hand on my chest. "Me? Bribing you? And with food out of everything? I would never and if I did it wouldn't have been with food."
She hummed. "So, why ask me to hang out then?" " Why not? Do I need a reason to hang out with my best friend?" "I supose not." She smiled while looking away. She has a beautifull smile. We ate in silence for a little while before I started telling her about the meeting and how the rest of my day went. After a while we were both laughing and joking around without a care in the world.

Although there was this look on her face when she looked outside at the gardens. It was only there for a split second before dissepearing again but I caught it. I will ask about that on a different day but for now I will just enjoy it.

A/N: Hello girls, gays and non-binary bays. How are you? I'm sorry it took so long again. I started working my first job this week and it went so well, I'm so happy about it. What do you think is wrong with Annabeth and who do you think was watching her in the last chapter? Comment your guesses, it is always nice to read comments. Don't forget to eat/drink enough or i'll send the demons after you.
