A Royals Fate

Diner

Annabeth's POV:

It was almost 8 pm when one of the guards came knocking on Percy's room. "I'm sorry for disturbing but Queen Sally asked me to inform you of the time and remind you of diner." "Alright, thank you Kol. We will be down in a moment."

Kol nodded at him and left after gently closing the door. Although, when I attempted to get of the bed someone pulled me back down. "Hold on Wise Girl, they can wait a little bit longer while we finish this. We'll eat after." I looked at him, he was sitting next to me with his right hand on my leg after pulling me back down.

Cute- stop that thought. "Fine but we have to eat after. Sally doesn't like it when we skip meals." Why is his hand bothering me so much, should I move it? I picked up the last files and divided them into 2 even piles, giving one of them to him and taking the other.

-Time skip of 3 hours-

"Percy? Seaweed Brain? Percy!" He shot up, frantically looking around. He relaxed when he saw me sitting next to him. "Wise Girl? What's happening? Why are you yelling?"

"I'm yelling because i've been trying to get you to wake up for the past 20 minutes. It's already 11 pm and I don't think Sally is happy we skipped diner. I don't want to anger her more by not even eating at all. So get your lazy ass up and let's go. Gods I thought you were always hungry how did you even sleep that deep?"

I stopped ranting when I heard him chuckling. I stopped putting the files away and send him a glare. He walked over to me while I turned away and stopped behind me. Giving me a hug from behind he started speaking. "Alright, alright I'm sorry i fell asleep. If you want we can go downstairs right now and I'll make you some pancakes or something, alright?"

"Fine but only if they're banana pancakes." I turned around so I was facing him again. "Done." He looked at me and we realised how close we were. We stared at each other for a few minutes, the air becoming tense the longer we stared until he finally took a step back and cleared his throat.

"Shall we then?" He put his hand out for me to take. "We shall." I took his hand and we were on our way downstairs. We didn't speak the whole way to the kitchen just enjoying each others company.

In the kitchen is when he pulled away, leaving my hand cold without his touch. He started taking all the ingrediënts and putting them on the island so I started taking out all the bowls and other things we needed.

He was cooking in peace and just working in silence when he told me that I should sit down. After 10 more minutes he put down a stack of pancakes infront of me. "Percy? Could you giv-" A bottle of syrup was put infront of me before I could finish my sentence. "Here you go, princess."

"Thanks." He took his own stack and sat down next to me. "So, how do you wanna sleep tonight? Do you want to take the bed or share it?" "We don't have to Percy. I'll just sleep on the floor. You have the soft padding remember?"

"Wise Girl, you are not sleeping on any floor. If you don't want the bed then I'll sleep on the floor but not you." I rolled my eyes. "Fine if it's such a big deal then we'll just share the bed, alright?" He beamed at me after I said that. Maybe I should start wearing sunglasses around him.

"Sure, that's alright with me. I have to go say goodnight to mom and Paul tho. Maybe I should tell her the sleeping arrangement too so she might let you sleep in Estelle's room." He smirked while I smirked back. "Aw, wanna get rid of me already Jackson?"

"No, Chase, you just talk about Estelle's room all the time. You literally arranged it so it would look like your dream room when we asked you to help decorate." I looked down a little sheepish. "I just wanted her to have her dream room ok? I didn't want her to hate it and she really deserves a pretty room."

He smiled at that and lifted my chin up so I could look him in the eye. "Wise Girl, Estelle could never hate anything you made. She loves you so much and looks up to you. I'm pretty sure you could have painted it black and gave it no decoration and she still would have loved it. You're pretty much her role model, well next to my mom of course." We laughed at that, relieved that the atmosphere became calm and peacefull again.

"Thanks, Seaweed Brain." "No problem, Wise Girl. Now, how about we go say goodnight to my mom and try to perform a little prank." I looked at him, confused about what prank he meant but went along with it anyway. We finally made it to Sally and Paul's room and knocked on their door. A few seconds later it opened, letting me and Percy inside.

"Hey mom, we just came to say goodnight." Sally was sitting upride in the bed, while Paul was writing something down at his bureau. "Oh, alright. Did you two eat? If not I can go make something." "No were alright mom. We just ate some pancakes and were just thinking about going to bed." She smiled at that and before I knew it she had her little grin on her face that I knew meant she was out for trouble.

"About that, I hope you figured out how you were going to sleep. I didn't mean to make any of you uncomfortable but if you want I can still ask Estelle." "No that won't be necesary, Sally, thank you. We have been sharing a bed since we were twelve I believe we can hold it out togheter for a week."

"OH, they didn't tell you did they? It will be longer then a week. Seeing as the Selected are here the staff has been very busy with taking care of them and their rooms, causing it to take a little longer." I'm pretty sure Percy's jaw was going to drop to the floor. I closed it for him and turned back to Sally to see her walking to us and breaking out a huge smile. Huh, so that's where Percy gets it from. Not surprised.

"Alright, I wouldn't want to hold you to up from getting your much needed sleep, so off you go. We will be right here if you need anything. Sleepwell" she gave us both a kiss on our forehead and basically shoved us out the door. "I- mo- fine. Goodnight." "Goodnight Sally." She closed the door in our face.

"Well I guess that was a total bust. We should go and get that sleep." We walked back to his room and changed into our pyjama's. After that we laid down on the bed and closed our eyes. "Sleep tight princess." I laughed at that. "Goodnight Percy." I fell asleep right away.

A/N: Hey, how are you? I'm sorry it was a little late but here you go... On another note, schools tarted again this week, how was it (for everyone who still goes)? I hope it went well. It's looking like it will be a good year. Anyway, eat/drink enough or I'll send the demons after you. Bye!
