You looked around the room feeling a bit of anxiety come on....
You weren't used to being alone like this...
You'd recently lost your parents and some people came...picked you up....and here you were...In an orphanage where posters of toys and plushies and other things were plastered across the wall...
Honestly, you'd think any kid or younger teen would be intrigued to be in the middle of a toy business but you were just....Uneasy and confused and....
You sighed and decided to wonder around the room some...
Your eyes widened as a somewhat high pitched voice spoke behind you.
"Hi!"
You found yourself slowly turning around.
It was a small orange dog... (Idk what height to use lol)
"Um..."
You rubbed a hand on your arm in an awkward fashion, avoiding the dogs gaze.
"Hello?"
The dog smiled.
"My name is DogDay! What's yours?."
They said in an overly happy tone.
You froze and had to think for a moment, you weren't used to toys talking....
"Oh um...I'm (Y/n.)...."
DogDay smiles and held out a hand for you to shake.
"Nice to meet you (Y/n!.) we'll be the best of friends! I'm sure of it!"
You felt a small smile creeping it's way onto your face.
"Oh um...that's really sweet of you um...Dogday but...You don't have to-
Dogdogs shake on your hand got a little faster.
"I love making friends!." He said in a still joyous tone.
"Will you please be my friend (Y/n?.)"
You felt your eyes soften a bit.
You sighed.
"Well...Alright we can try..."
Dogday let go of your hand and pointed towards a play area.
"C'mon let's go play!."
You gave a nod of approval and Dogday grabbed hold of your hand again leading you towards the play structures.
You and DogDay ended up playing a game of tag within the play structures but halfway through you started to feel those dreary feelings again....
You sat with your face buried in your knees.
Dogday walked over to you and frowned.
"Hey...What's wrong (Y/n?.)..I thought we were having fun?."
You looked up with tears starting to form in your eyes.
DogDay pulled you into a hug.
"Hey it's okay...Do you want to talk about it?."
He asked.
You shrugged your shoulders and avoided your gaze away from him....
"I'm scared Dogday...There's so many changes...I'm...I'm all alone now..."
Dogdays frowned deepened.
"Hey...You're not alone...You have me! And I promise to always protect you and keep you company when your sad...kinda like how I am now!...."
You looked at DogDay and gave another weak smile.
DogDay let out a sad sigh.
"I know this is a lot to take it at times....But...I promise it'll be okay...."
You wiped a tear away and nodded.
"Okay...I'm trusting you DogDay, I'm trusting you to be the bestest friend ever."
You said a hint of playfulness in your tone.
DogDay pulled you in for another big hug.
