I start again. Sketching a big mountain with all the trees and bushes on and around it
Oh, but the trees were taller, weren't they? Ugh, and the mountain wasn't that pointy!
I start again. I think long and hard about the scene. A great big mountain, decorated with trees and bushes. And the creek full of the jellyfish!
The first stroke began with an outline.
By the second stroke, a slip caused me to sweat and simmer. So stupid.
I crumble up the paper and toss it to the corner to be forgotten.
"A 1000-words in a picture? More like a 1000-ways to show I suck," I grumble to myself.I stretch out my arms and legs in my chair. I look up at the ceiling. Gentle splashes of brown, green and blue are painted. The ceiling jellyfish are just as beautiful as the real ones.
How many words are in this painting? Probably a million.
Do I need that many words? Oh, maybe that's it. I don't need 1000-words, maybe just a few will do!
I begin to write: "Today, I explored the mountain covered in trees."
