Goob lay in bed, looking at the stars he had taped onto the ceiling. He was deep in thought, but he didn't know what about. They rolled onto their side, trying to think about anything or anyone besides Shrimpo and their last talk. His face was red from the light tears he had cried earlier, some still in his eyelids. He heard the screaming a couple of minutes ago but couldn't bring himself to get up and check. Goob didn't want to get screamed at, too. Just a safety precaution. He desperately wanted to confront Shrimpo about.. well.. the obvious. But once again, can't bring himself to do so. A knock from his door interrupted his train of thought. Goob sat up. Who was it? Was it Shrimpo? Toodles? Boxten? Who? "Uhm- Come in, I guess..?" He rubbed his eyes, standing up and walking towards the door. Scraps, his sister, slowly opened the door. "..Goob? You alright in here?" She questioned, stepping in and closing the door behind her. Goob just looked at Scraps blankly before internally breaking down, crying on site. He quickly went over to Scraps and hugged her, his body quite literally shaking. Scraps was pretty surprised, her face softening. She hugged him back, looking down at her little brother with a look of pity. "No- Goob, come on.. you know he didn't mean it.." Scraps spoke in a softer tone in comparison to her usual loud and outgoing voice. She knew it wasn't her business, but she couldn't help but wonder what was the cause of all of.. this. It sickened her, if she was being completely honest. "Let's sit down, okay..? Let's go to your bed, c'mon." Scraps suggested, slowly guiding Goob to his bed again. Once they sat down, Goob almost completely wrapped most of his body around Scraps. Choked sobs and small coughs were the only noises that escaped him, the occasional soft curse or mutter. Scraps didn't know what to do. The last time she saw Goob hurt this badly was during.. y'know, the incident. What could possibly make them feel worse than the literal worst day of their lives? Goob eventually found the power to say something instead of muttering and sobbing into her shoulder. "W-well, he did- i-it was all a- all a joke! Am I- am I nothing to him..?! Just- nothing?!" He spoke out, his words choppy and hoarse from the lump in his throat from sobbing and just talking made his throat hurt even more. Scraps shook her head, pulling him closer and wrapping her arms around him. "No, I'm sure she doesn't mean it like that! I mean- it's Shrimpo, she's usually like that.. he's probably just having a bad day today. Y'know how Shrimpo is.. it's not like he meant to hurt you like this, buddy!" Scraps tried her best to comfort Goob, but her efforts led to nearly nothing. He responded by shaking his head, almost completely convinced Shrimpo hated him. He had more proof, now. "I- y'know how I- I've felt, right, Scraps..? If he- If Shrimpo doesn't- doesn't even like me as a.. as a friend, t-then.." Goob trailed off, his thoughts growing darker by the second. He went silent again, his crying getting louder. The noise gained the attention of the Toon who lived in the room next to his, Boxten. He had been outside the door for a minute, wondering if he should come in and help. Boxten slowly opened the door, looking at Scraps. Goob didn't notice the door opening, but Scraps did. She looked at the door and Boxten, raising an eyebrow. Boxten pointed towards Goob, then making the thumbs up gesture (asking if Goob was okay). Scraps shook her head. She made a drinking motion with one hand, spelling out "water" in sign language. Boxten mostly understood what she was trying to communicate to him (he didn't know the sign for the letter T), closing the door again and leaving for the kitchen. Boxten wondered what actually happened, because he only heard Shrimpo yelling at Toodles. He reached the kitchen, picking up a glass from the cupboard and filling it with ice and water. He grabbed a little plastic straw, setting it inside of there, too. Boxten moved the ice around a bit with the straw, looking at his reflection in the water. "Poor Goob, man.." He thought, putting his other hand in his pocket. When walking back to Goob's room, he noticed Toodles and Roger. It was the same situation as Goob's. Toodles was downright sobbing badly on the floor in a ball, with Roger keeping his arms around her protectively. Were Shrimpo's words that bad? Boxten shook his head, entering Goob's room again. "Hey, Goob.. brought you some water, buddy." He spoke gently, walking over to his bed and handing the water to Scraps. Scraps gave a silent thank you, smiling up at Boxten, thankfully. She held the water in one hand, holding it towards Goob. He didn't even bother grabbing the cup, just taking the straw into his mouth and taking a few sips. Boxten watched the pitiful sight, stepping back and finally leaving the room. He closed the door, walking back to the main area. Goob seemed to have calmed down a bit more after drinking some. "Goob, I'm sure he still likes you.. Shrimpo was probably just not in the mood. It's not your fault, I promise.. don't think it means you should do.. y'know.. that again. Things'll get better, I promise." Scraps set the cup down on a small table beside the bed, holding onto one of Goob's hands. He spoke up, tears still going down his face and his voice still broken and hoarse.

"But.. w-what if they- if they don't..?"
