Adina has traveled for about 2 months until she met a very kind man named Josh who was an expert at traveling and offered her a place to stay. One night, something went wrong and Josh's town was attacked by horrifying, soul-taking beasts called "Turran". Adina is able to help some of the survivors, but she went back to find Josh. She finds him injured in the forest, but they get ambushed by thousands of Turran as they try sucking on their souls. When Josh's begins to leave his body and Adina nearly dying, Adina saw a glowing figure and it created a huge wave of silver that distinguishes the Turran from existence. Josh's soul returns to his body and the glowing figure faded. Adina couldn't see who it was as she passes out.
(The scene was inspired by "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" where Harry and Sirius are attacked by dementors.)
The Turran were minions of Melissa who saw Adina as a threat before meeting her and tried to kill her.
Adina's past special reveal: when Adina (as fuchsia Ninja), Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Lloyd and Nya went to the past to fix the future that is being sabotaged by Scott or Melissa, they find the forest Turran ambush where current Adina says something in Ninjago language and starts to glow where silver magic bursts throughout, distinguishing the Turran from existence.
