Adina and Jay in Skybound part 1

Jay is injured from being tortured. He hears a sound.

Jay: Wh-who's there? Come out.

The figure stands up and it is Adina! At the sight of Jay, Adina immediately crawls toward him, hugs him tightly and begins to cry.

Jay: (hugs Adina back, strained) Adina! I... can't breathe...

Adina loosens the hug. Jay notices that Adina's hair has been cut short, has a lot of wounds on her legs, arms and back. And there is blood coming out of her mouth, meaning Nadakhan must've done something to her.

Jay: Adina, what happened?! What did Nadakhan do to you?!

Adina explains with sign language that she made her first wish to become a human. She explains (sign language) that she has been kidnapped by Nadakhan, tortured by the pirates crew and cut her hair. And worst of all, after accidentally making her third wish, Nadakhan had cut off her tongue as he found her voice annoying because she was screaming for help. Jay gasps, devastated. He thought he had been tortured really badly, but Adina's wounds made his look like mild scrapes. And now Adina can't speak anymore?

Jay: (growls, fuming) They will NOT get away with this! (stops growling) But... why would you wish to be human?

Adina explains (sign language) that she has been very insecure about her love life with Shade and that because of her Nindroid origins, she will never conceive a child with Shade.

Jay: (sadly) Oh, Adina. (caress Adina's cheek with his hand) I never knew you felt that way. I'm sorry.

Adina leans against Jay's hand, smiling at the small comfort.
