Monster High... Stripes of warrior fury against the scourge of responsibility, moods resonating to the conch of crisp clementine and lemon, mounds of life wrapped in cruelty and innocence. In his silent headphones, encircled by this arid melody beating down to the twisted lashes, studded with fire, and turned towards the sheltered peninsulas of the Outer Court, Holt arrived as the new guest. His custom blazer with clues from hell radiating originality, a hurricane of bright, imperishable trends for his customs glued to limbs and gestures.
Well, given, it was different.
The Nocturn Class, at Monster High, was a parallel universe. If you took away the vampires, the shadow elementals still in a fragile reality, the blind monsters who needed peace and quiet to find a regular way of learning, the Giant Humanoid Bats, or the lunatics Lunarians entities (dreaded because they were monsters born of the Moon's mutations, and therefore, of its moods).... Monster High at night was in fact empty and bizarre, the school moving to a degree of consciousness that made it almost ordinary, unlike the recollections of horror films or horror shorts.
For even as a Fire Elemental, he was only a hybrid marriage - he was a Hyde, and apart from the light he produced from his golden-brown hair and jewels upon scarlet pansies at every second, he couldn't make use of any nyctalopia compared to some of his classmates. His classes were maybe ecstatic in vision, but he was always surrounded by emptiness, by a penumbra too greedy. A will that had only crept in after reading the Ghostly Gazette with grandor, trying to absorb all this teenage wonder so dense and distant evenings, where his short change never paid for the fact that his compositions never really delighted that light he had never envisaged complete inside himself.
He was a Night Boy. But not that kind of Night Boy.
Holt was, for the first time, appeased. It was very unusual... And probably short-lived.
