13. Destruction of Bharath
Hi readers
Hope you are all good
After a long gap friends , I waited for a comment . I got it today 😅... Nibbi things. So I am posting the story now.
Ishq you all ❤️💕
Two days later:
The worst nightmare is losing our loved ones right before our eyes. The hardest part is knowing we can’t do anything to help them... no medicine, no miracle.
An unknown virus is killing people, young and old alike. The situation is so bad that people think it is a curse. They believe the curse is Maya.
The girl who was once loved by everyone is now seen as a curse.
Bodies pile up on every street corner of Bharat. The air is thick with the scent of death and tears.
The cries of children fill the air, their wails a chorus of grief and confusion. They don’t understand that their families will never be the same. Their innocent questions pierce the hearts of the adults who have no answers.
The virus spares no one. Vikram and Suhana lie in bed, their bodies burning with fever. They are too weak to move, but their eyes remain fixed on their daughter, Khushi, whose presence gives them a flicker of hope and strength.
Little Khushi doesn’t know what is happening. She doesn’t understand why she can’t see her parents. Her small hands press against the locked door, tears streaming down her cheeks as she calls out for them, her voice breaking with each cry.
Rudra is trying everything. He prays to all the gods, seeking their mercy. He goes to every Ayurvedic doctor he can find, pleading for help, but no one can stop the virus. It spreads too easily, infecting everyone in its path.
Even the kings of the states are stricken with the illness. Rudra feels utterly helpless. The weight of the world is on his shoulders, and without Maya by his side, he feels the crushing loneliness even more.
Maya has been missing for two days. When Rudra finally gathers the strength to search her room, he finds it empty. The walls echo with silence, and all the guards lie dead, their lifeless eyes staring into nothingness. Who could have done this?
Rumors spread through the kingdom like wildfire. If people find Maya, they will burn her alive. This shatters Rudra’s heart into a million pieces. He stands alone, his brother and sister-in-law are on the deathbed, and now Maya, his love, is gone.
Rudra kneels before the Shivling, his knees raw and bleeding from hours of prayer. Tears stream down his face, falling onto the cold stone floor.
"Mahadev, mere logon ne tumhaare saath kya kiya?
mere bhaiya aur bhabhi ne tumhaare saath kya kiya?
meree pyaari beti Khushi unhonne tumhaare saath kya kiya? Aap hamen saza kyon de rahe hain?"
[What have my people done to you? What did my brother and sister-in-law do to you? What did my lovely daughter Khushi do to you? Why are you punishing us?]
His voice breaks as he continues, "Please punish me for every sin they committed. What did my Maya do to you? Where is she? Why are you doing this?"
"Tumne meri sab kuch le liya, meri maa, papa. Abb meri Bhai aur meri ardhangini... Mujhe rastha dikhao, prabhu."
[You took everything from me, my mother, my father, now my brother and my wife... show me the way, prabhu.]
His hands press against the cold ground, his tears falling like rain. He feels the weight of his sorrow, a burden too heavy to bear.
---
Meanwhile, Maya is trapped in a dark, cold room, her wrists bound with heavy iron chains. She hasn’t eaten anything except her favorite maggie two days ago. Her stomach growls in protest, but she is too weak to care.
On that day She hears guards yelling outside . They are death infront of her. She got traumatised hides behind the dressing table, her heart pounding in her chest.
But a guard finds her, dragging her by her hair across the rough stone floor. Maya kicks and struggles, her nails digging into his skin, but she is too weak. The guards laugh at her feeble attempts, their cruel voices echoing in the small room.
Without food and water for two days, Maya’s strength is nearly gone. Her vision blurs, and she feels dizzy and disoriented. Her body, once full of life, is now frail and pale. She curls up on the cold floor, tears streaming down her face.
"Please," she whispers, her voice barely audible. "Please, someone save me."
Her pleas go unheard, swallowed by the darkness that surrounds her. She closes her eyes, praying for a miracle, praying for Rudra to find her before it’s too late.
