Before they knew it, they had finished building the airships. Two days later, after several nuclear explosions, they finally made it to Atlantis. They arrived in the heart of Atlantis, where the King and Queen of Atlantis rose to greet them. Dr. Whitmore shook hands with them first, then Anna, Julian and Audrey. The engineers and scientists were on standby in case anything should go wrong and they needed to evacuate immediately
'We're here to keep the peace. This here is Anna," Dr. Whitmore explained to the King and Queen. "She's the girl from the prophecy destined to save you all." The King and Queen bowed to Anna, and Anna flushed a lovely shade of pink.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Madam Anna. Thank you for coming to help us," Everything in their voices expressed gratitude, and it brought tears to Anna's eyes.
She curtsied. "The pleasure is all mine, King and Queen of Atlantis. I'm happy to help in whatever way I can." The royalty just continued to radiate that glow of positive light down on her body. The Queen of Atlantis was stunning, with silky white blonde hair and striking blue eyes. She was dressed in a goddess type of outfit, the material irrirdescent. It was a gauzy light blue dress that hugged her every curve. Anna felt so plain in comparison,
Julian stepped in next. "Hi, I'm Julian. I've studied the cure for several years, and I believe I've found the cure for the people here."
"How do you know all of this?" The Queen of Atlantis spoke in a French accent, which Anna felt was much more her language than the Spanish she'd taken in high school. She sighed, wishing she knew more French than she did.
Julian blushed furiously, and once again Anna was jealous of the beauty of the Queen of Atlantis. Julian had never reacted to her that way before!
"I- I've studied it all my life," Julian stammered, then hiccuped nervously. "You see, the cure is honeysuckle, spiderweb, whiskey and moonshine. Spider web because it's an antiseptic and honeysuckle is because it's an antiviral. And I guess whiskey and moonshine because..."
"Because it makes everything better!" Boomed Dr. Whitmore, and everyone, including the King and Queen of Atlantis, burst out laughing. "But seriously, really don't know why it works, it just does. It made Anna's moonstone necklace react strangely the other night when the liquor was added to the cure."
"Moonstone necklace?" The Queen of Atlantis gasped. "May I see? I haven't laid eyes upon moonstone in 9,000 years."
"Oh... of course," Anna withdrew the necklace from underneath her blouse, and the Queen of Atlantis took it gently in her hands, staring at in absolute awe.
"She's a beaut," the Queen of Atlantis whispered in astonishment. "I can see she is already attached to you, Anna. That's always a good sign when you bond with a crystal, especially one so powerful."
Julian raised a hand. "But that's what they won't tell me. Why is it so powerful?"
"It's known for helping in psychic abilities, such as psychic protection and lucid dreaming, It's connected to the moon and has the ability to balance emotions out."
"Whoah!" Julian exclaimed. "Anna, maybe the necklace was always meant to be yours. You've been dreaming of saving the prophecy long before you had this necklace."
Anna nodded. "Exactly, I think we need to find a place to set this moonstone once and for all, and save these people."
The King and Queen embraced her. "Let's do this, girl," the Queen of Atlantis smiled at Anna as she took her hand and guided her to an outcropping of stones by a waterfall. "Any of these stones could be the key. You've just got to know where to look."
