Cw for swearing and slight violence
There's a rough map of what the residence looks like, made it in my notes app so have mercy
Analise woke up to yelling, her head hurt and she was laying on the ground somewhere. She sat up from the white tile floor she had been on and took in the scene in front of her.
Two girls yelled at each other, one of them noticeably more upset and beginning to push the other girl around, while a third girl tried to calm the two down, with little luck.
When the girl who had been more violent pushed the other one into a wall, a screen lit up, illuminating the entire room with its words, "welcome to the residence." At the same time, a robotic female voice began to speak.
"Welcome to the residence, you will stay here for the foreseeable future. The following are the rules you must follow during your time here.
One: you may not attempt to leave the residence, attempting to do so will result in consequences.
Two: you may not intentionally harm another member of the residence, attempting to do so will result in consequences.
Three: you may not intentionally destroy or damage facilities of the residence, attempting to do so will result in consequences.
Along with these rules, here is some information: you have all the supplies you may need to survive here for your stay, however, if you require something that is not supplied, you may come to this screen and make a request, this will be reviewed and denied or accepted, if accepted, it will be provided within an hour of the request. If you have any inquiries about the residence or it's rules, within certain criteria, you may also come to the screen and ask a question, this will either be denied or accepted, if accepted, it will be answered within an hour of the question."With this, the voice stopped and the screen went dark, a door slid open that revealed a hallway, Analise could make out the word "bedroom" on one of the doors.
The angry girl began to walk towards the girl against the wall when the one who had been trying to intervene spoke up, "stop!" She called, as the girl turned and faced her she continued, "look, none of us know how we got here either, okay?" She said, "and beating the shit out of her isn't going to do you anything other than find out whatever 'consequences' are." She said, doing finger quotes over the word.
"Let's all just introduce ourselves, okay?" She said, not letting anyone respond, "my name is Celia," she said, "Elizabeth," said the girl against the wall, slightly out of breath.
"I'm Analise," she said, almost without thinking, before nervously smiling and waving slightly, "Delilah." The girl frustratedly sighed.
Once everyone had calmed down, Analise looked around the room and spotted a wheelchair in the corner behind her, about twenty feet away. As she began moving towards it, using her arms to drag the rest of her body, the girl who had revealed her name to be Delilah noticed her moving towards it and asked "is this for you?" Pointing at the chair.
"Uh, yeah, it is," Analise answered, not sure how to reply, upon her answer, Delilah simply rolled the chair up to Analise and offered a hand to help her get in, which she took after a moment of hesitation. "Thanks," she said a bit sheepishly, as Delilah walked away towards the girl who she had been arguing with before, who was named Elizabeth.
"Hey, I wanna say that I'm sorry for getting so upset just now, I shouldn't have pushed you around like that," she said, bowing her head a little as she spoke. "Thanks, I mean, I get it, it's pretty weird waking up in a random room with 3 kids you've never met before," Elizabeth chuckled slightly as she spoke.
Analise wheeled herself over to the door that had opened when the voice finished speaking, where the girl who had revealed her name to be Celia was standing, peering down a hallway.
The whole building was white, making it feel like a hospital.
She hated hospitals.
The other two girls were standing at a screen, asking questions and each one being answered with a robotic "question denied."
Analise began to go down the hall, reading the names of each room as she went by. Celia followed behind her, peering into the small window on the door of each room.
Analise stopped at the end of the hallway, reading the label "medical room." She wondered if just maybe-
She pushed open the door and a light automatically came on, she looked around and just as she thought, a pair of crutches sat against a wall.
"Sweet!" She called out, grabbing them and leaving the wheelchair behind as she walked out of the room. She found Celia in the room adjacent to her, labeled "supply room."
The girl looked around, the room was full of shelves stocked with random supplies, clothes, soap, bottled water, everything anyone could possibly need, and enough to last a long time.
The other two girls had joined them in looking at the rooms, starting at the beginning of the hallway. Analise and Celia worked their way back toward the room they woke up in, entering each room along the way.
Eventually, everyone gathered in the one labeled "common room" and began to converse.
"So, anyone got any ideas why we're here?" Elizabeth began.
"Is there anything that all of us have in common?" Delilah asked.
"Like what?" Analise questioned.
"I dunno, maybe we all have some super weird virus and the government wants to see who dies first," Delilah said, causing a few chuckles from the others.
"Maybe this is a game show or something that we signed up for?" Celia suggested.
"Well, no matter why we're here, it seems like we're gonna stay here for a while, I looked everywhere, not a single window or door leading outside in the whole place." Analise said.
"Guess we should get to know eachother then, right?" Elizabeth asked.
"How old is everyone?" Delilah questioned.
"Fifteen." Everyone said, almost in unison
"That's something we have in common!" Analise said.
The conversation continued until late, There were no clocks, but with the sheer amount of yawns occurring between the four, they decided it was time to go to bed.
Since there were only two bedrooms, two people would have to share each one, Analise didn't like this, but she didn't like anything about her situation so far.
But it couldn't get any worse than this, right?
