Jules

I was searching around to find something, anything, to get the door to unlock and escape this place. My hands sifted through a drawer closest to the decorated, windowless walls. I paused, my brow furrowing.

Why weren't there any windows here?

The thought was interrupted by a knock at the door. I spun around, trying to mask my desperation, just as a beautiful woman entered the room.

She paused, scanning the mess I had made. Her long black hair fell straight down to her lower shoulder blade, and her big blue eyes scanned the room. I couldn't help but scan her in return. She looked....Familiar. She seemed a bit taller than me, perhaps around the same age, maybe a little younger. Her petite frame was both slim and toned, with curvy mass in all the right places. Her pale skin contrasted sharply with her black hair, making her vibrant blue eyes appear even more striking. She looked like a living, breathing doll. Her clothes were simple yet elegant-a white romper dress with small intricate lace details all over and with a black, round apron around her small waist, accentuating her curvaceous, slim body. She was also carrying a tray of food.

As I continued to take in her appearance, she caught me staring. A smirk tugged at her lips, and I quickly looked away, a blush creeping up my cheeks.

She's beautiful, yet she didn't make my heart race or made me feel these strange feelings I had toward Alejandra...

The woman noticed my curious yet confused expression and hummed to herself without any comment.

Instead, she turned to scan the room, and I followed her gaze, seeing the chaos I had created. The top mattress of the king-sized bed was half off, with sheets strewn across the floor. Every possible drawer was open, some with clothes hanging by the edges, others spilling their contents onto the ground.

Gosh....did I do that?...

"Looking for something?" she asked, a slight raise of her eyebrow accompanied by a tiny smirk. The hint of playfulness in her voice left me momentarily speechless.

I expected her to reprimand me for going through another person's belongings, even though I was locked in here against my will. Instead, she looked amused. I maintained my defensive stance, my face blank as I stared at her. She closed the door and walked in, carrying the heavy tray of food with ease. My eyes flicked to the door-was it locked right now? Should I chance a sprint toward it while passing her? But the real question remained: Could she be as strong as that old nurse?

These thoughts kept me at bay. She placed the tray on a small table near the windowless walls where I stood near the recently messed up drawer and looked at me with an expectant smile. "You know," she began, her eyes glanced at the drawer then back at me, a smirk still lingering on her lips, "if you're planning an escape, you might want to be a bit more subtle."

I couldn't help but let out a small, nervous laugh while fiddling my fingers on the hem of the knot I made with the shirt to keep it on better, "I, uh, wasn't really planning anything..."

She raised an eyebrow again, adding depth to her large yet sharp, almost syren eye shape. "Sure, sure, sure." She waved that excuse off, " My name's Matilda, by the way." She extended her hand, but I just stared at it for a moment before shaking it hesitantly.
