THE PARTY WAS MOVED INTO THE BACKYARD. Belly was talking with her parents and brother. Jeremiah was bonding with John's girlfriend, Victoria over different types of music and music artists that they both loved. My mom and Dad were talking by the pool keeping an eye on me and when I say both my parents were keeping an eye on me and Conrad, I mean my Dad, he more so skeptical of Conrad since last summer.
Conrad stared at me in admiration. I noticed this and got nervous and looked away
"Why'd you look away? You made me lose count." Conrad huffed
I furrowed my eyebrows
Lose count?
"What do you mean you lost count?" I asked him
"I was counting each and every one of your freckles. I was at 128. Guess I'll just have to restart later." Conrad shrug with a small smile
"You're a dork." I chuckled as I wrapped my arms around his neck, he pulled me closer towards him
Conrad smiled widely before leaning in and connecting our lips in a passionate kiss. The kiss was short but held a lot of love in it.
Mom and Dad looked over at us with excitement, smiling ear to ear. They were happy that their daughter was finally happy again.

Dad signed as he wrapped his arm around Andrea's waist
"What's wrong?" Mom asked softly looking at her husband
"I just don't want to see Kai, sad again it broken my heart to see my little girl like that. After she broke up with Conrad last summer, she gets with him again the next summer. What's different? What's changed? I don't understand." Dad asked furrowing his eyebrows
"They grown up. They are changing together. Kairo is changing Conrad and Conrad is changing Kairo for the better. They are meant for each other. Conrad is a good guy. And Kairo is an amazing girl. We did that. We made that beautiful young lady. And I know she's gonna do great things." Mom smiled as she watched me and Conrad get out of the pool.
Me and Conrad walked up to Mom and Dad with towels in our hands
"Hey pumpkins. What's up?" Dad asked smiling as he rubbed Mom's lower back
"Is it okay if me and Conrad go on a walk?" I asked Mom and Dad
"Sure, Sweetie just be back before 7 Susannah wants to cut the cake while everyone is here." Mom told me and we nodded
