"Where's My Love?" Sean asked as he walked in from his shift at the hospital. "It's almost time for her medicine. How is she doing today?"
"She is with her Daddy playing video games," Marc replied as he continued making a BLC, cucumber instead of tomato, for her. "She is still withdrawn but her Daddy got her to giggle a few times earlier and she asked for a sandwich a couple of minutes ago through the group chat he sat up. She apparently asked on her own based on Corey's praise after it."
"That's good," Sean yawned. "I'll get her meds and take that to her."
"They in Sunshine's room," Raven said as he made her cup of apple juice.
"Okay," Sean nodded as he watched Marc slice some more cucumber slices and then put them beside the sandwich. He nodded thanks as Marc called out that he would make him a sandwich.
He knocked on the door then took a step in as the door swung open upon his knock.
"It's like you summoned him, Sweetheart," Corey chuckled as he looked up from his computer. He nudged over his shoulder before turning back to his screen. He glanced up and smirked at Sean's confused look. "DreamKitten played desserts seconds before you knocked."
Sean looked past Corey to find their girl all comfy on his bed with a laptop and headphones on. "I don't think she can hear you, Core," Sean chuckled.
"She can. I have talk-to-text activated in the chat room. It doesn't interrupt her music. She's good, getting a little cranky so I'd give her the food if I were you."
"Noted," Sean chuckled as he walked over to the bed. "Hey Love, beating Corey?"
"Tied," she mumbled as she moved around the scrabble tiles while she waited for Corey to play. "Eat later, thanks."
"Eat now, Sweetheart," Corey said as he paused the game, smirking at her glare when he turned to face her. "It's time for your meds. We can continue after you eat. You know you have to eat to get better. So eat or no more games."
"You wouldn't," she narrowed her glare even more.
"Either you eat now or no more games tonight and you'll go to bed early," Corey shrugged as he turned back to his laptop and minimized the game. He opened up a coding program and started typing.
She huffed before moving the laptop beside her and placed her stuffed bat in her lap, "So mean," she whispered under her breath as she took the plate from Sean. "Thank you Doc," she forced herself to say before sticking her tongue out at Corey's back.
"Put it back in your mouth or I'll have Doc switch your pills to liquid," Corey said without turning around.
Sean couldn't hold his laughter back anymore at her shocked expression. She glared at the both of them but picked up the triangle when Corey held up a finger. "What's the counting for?" Sean asked curiously as he sat on the edge of the bed. She held out a cucumber slice so he took it and winked at her.
"If I get to three she has to go to bed an hour early," Corey explained.
"There you are," Luke smiled as he came into the room. "Who won?" he asked as he set two mini Kit Kats on her plate.
"It's paused so she can eat," Corey said. "No more candy Luke, she needs to take her meds first."
"She will," Luke winked, "she's a good girl."
"Sassy is more like it," Sean chuckled.
She rolled her eyes as she popped a slice of cucumber into her mouth. She picked up another and held it out to Luke. He frowned but sighed in defeat when he saw her barely there pout. He opened his mouth and took the slice from her fingers before chewing and swallowing it. Her smile lit up, making him restrain himself from wiping his mouth on his sleeve.
Sean felt Luke's forehead before going to the doorway, "LUKE ATE CUCUMBER AND DIDN'T DIE!"
"NO FUCKING WAY!" Gabe shouted as he came running up the stairs. He pushed Sean out of the way. "You fucking didn't? I fucking missed it? Eat another!"
"They aren't so bad, are they?" North smirked.
"Shut up, Little Brother," Luke glared at him.
"How did this miracle happen?" Marc asked. "Let me guess? Our precious goddess?"
"You know it," Sean beamed. "And look, he's still alive," Sean clapped Luke's shoulder, "So now no more complaining about eating his veggies. We just gotta have our wife feed them to him off her plate."
"Make them quit being mean to me, Cupcake," Luke playfully whined as he collapsed on the bed. "They are being mean!"
She reached over and dropped the Kit Kats on his face, "All better."
He chuckled and kissed her cheek after he moved over to her side, setting the laptop at the end of the bed, "You're the best." He dropped his head to her shoulder, "Now hurry up and eat so I can kidnap you to the back yard and I can push you on the tire swing to help you fly and find where those pesky fairies are hiding."
She giggled before picking up one of the four triangle sandwiches on her plate, "Okay."
