पानी अगर शांत हो तो
गहराई से मज़ाक नहीं करते,
आग अगर तेज़ लगी हो तो
धुएं से मज़ाक नहीं करते,
अंधेरा अगर ज्यादा हो तो
रोशनी पे शक नहीं करते,
लोग अगर करीबी होने का दिखावा करे तो
उनपे आसानी से भरोसा नही करते,
जज़्बात अगर खुद पे हावी होने लगें तो
हर किसी से बयां नहीं करते,
दिल अगर आज़ाद होने लगे तो
जिम्मेदारी के नाम पे उसे कैद नहीं करते,
ज़ख्म अगर ज्यादा गहरा होने लगे तो
हर किसी से मरहम की उम्मीद नहीं करते,
रूह अगर लापता होने लगें तो
किसी और मे अपना घर नहीं ढूंढा करते,
शिकायतें अगर बढ़ने लगे तो
हर किसी से शिकवा नहीं करते,
मुश्किलें अगर ज्यादा बढ़ने लगे तो
जिंदगी से मुंह नहीं मोड़ा करते।

When waters calm, all still and clear...
No jokes about depths, no fear.
If flames blaze high, with fiery might...
No laughing at smoke, in the bright light.
In dark of night, where shadows creep...
No doubt in the light, secrets keep.
With people near, their masks they wear...
Don't trust too quick, in the air.
When emotions surge, like waves collide...
Not every heart, opens wide.
If freedom's found, within your heart...
No chains to bind, a fresh start.
When wounds run deep, and tears may start...
Not every touch, can mend the heart.
If the soul roams, in search of peace...
No home in strangers, seek release.
As complaints rise, in voices loud...
Not every woe, in the crowd.
When challenges rise, life's tests endure...
No turning back, of this be sure.
