Tomioka's Point of View
It's just the same thing every day, kill demons, get flamed by Shinazugawa and Iguro, Kocho bothering me, sleeping. And just repeating.
Repeating over and over again, besides meetings here and there, just the same thing everyday.
Well... I guess most of the time it's the same thing.
What day is it? Oh right... It's Thursday.
I hear soft knocks at my door as I opened my eyes, waking up. I sat up from my futon, hearing that familiar, energetic, female voice. The same voice I would hear practically every Thursday morning.
"Tomi-san~!" Kanroji called out for me, though without letting me answer, Kanroji practically invited herself in. Her energy seemed to have filled my room, because that empty feeling inside me started to feel not so empty anymore.
Kanroji looks at me, a smiling as bright as can be on her face, she seemed really happy this morning.. She bowed really quickly towards me before she practically ran to me, sitting down next to me on my futon. She was kicking her legs almost aggressively, giving me the memo that she had talked or interacted with Iguro earlier this morning or last night. As much as I loved Kanroji (NOT A SHIP), Talking about Iguro really makes my head hurt.
"What happened today that's making you more squealy today than normal, Roji-san?" I looked looked Kanroji, I was slightly overwhelmed by her whimsiness. But now I really started it... Kanroji now started to talk about how when she was talking to Iguro earlier this morning, Iguro's pet snake, Kaburamaru, allowed Kanroji to pet it. Apparently that made her really happy..
Like, really happy. Her happiness seemed to have bounced off and practically lit up my dull room.
"So that's why you're so happy this morning, Roji-san.." I let out a soft laugh, Kanroji's facial expression showed she had caught my small reaction. Making her squeal even more. "Kyaa! Was that a chuckle, Tomi-san!?" Kanroji's smile seemed to have just brightened more, damn... All it took was a chuckle from me and now Kanroji is bouncing off the walls.. "Please, Tomi-san! Let me hear it one more time!" Kanroji pouted to me. I sighed quietly, before looking back at her. I opened my mouth, wanting to let out that same noise, but it just sort of sounded like a groan. Now we were just in awkward silence, Kanroji seemed to have been frozen solid. Like my noise turned her to stone, just staring at me. I could practically feel the heat on my ears.
After a few moments of dead silence, I then hear the little giggles from Kanroji, before she started to laugh, a very loud, infectious laugh. Because I started to laugh as well, I could tell my body wasn't used to laughing for this long, because our laughter made my chest hurt. Making it slightly hard to breath, laughter filling my lungs.
We settled down after a while, our breaths heavy (HEY NO) from laughing for so long. I let out a soft breath of relief, before looking at Kanroji, who was practically shedding tears from how hard she laughed herself. She quickly calmed herself down though, before she looked at me. "You know, Tomi-san, you should smile and laugh more. It looks nice on you." Kanroji's smile had softened, being more gentle as I could feel her pat my back. I tried smiling back, giving a slight nod.
"Roji-san... I'm, glad you were willing to be my friend." I spoke quietly, saying it out loud made me slightly flustered (NOT A SHIP). Kanroji looked at me, letting out a soft chuckle. "Well I'm also glad you're my friend as well! Apart from Kocho-san, you listen to me all the time!" Kanroji beamed, before she paused. I tilted my head slightly, looking at her. She seemed to have been thinking, because when I said her name, she jumped a little. "Kyaa! Sorry! I got a little lost in thought there!" Kanroji laughs.
"What were you thinking about, Roji-san?" I asked, looking straight at her now. I had a feeling she was thinking about whether or not to talk about it, because she went silent for a moment before she started talking again. "Well, I just started to wonder. What about you, Tomi-san?" Huh? I know sometimes Kanroji's words doesn't make sense, and I can usually decipher what she asks or says. But this one just doesn't make sense at all... "What do you mean by that, Roji-san?" I looked at her, a little confused. But she opened her mouth again, her question catching me off guard.
"Do you also like someone, Tomi-san?"
