I couldn't help but steal glances at Rina. She's grown up to be even prettier than she already was. That little girl with rosy cheeks and two pigtails has grown in the most beautiful way possible.

She stands some good feet away from me, leaning against the pole, thinking about something.

She looks beautiful, I've never seen Rina dress like this ever before, it's a sight to behold for the rest of my life. It's that one sight I could easily compare to those uncountable daffodils Wordsworth talked about in his poem. That's how precious she looks to me. I'm well aware that I'd not be able to remove this image from my mind for the rest of my life.

The multicolour, almost see-through, fluttery dress, hangs around her body, hugging perfectly around the curves she's developed over the years and the laces run smoothly against her velvet skin. Her hair is perfectly pinned against the plaits and runs effortlessly down her side.

Did she dress up for me? Is she still into me?What was she up to all these years? I was immature back then, I admit. I admit my mistake, I'm ready to repent, I'd do anything to have her back.

But what if she already has somebody? My mind raced through the thought.
That mere thought earned a tick at my jaw. Rina, finding somebody, other than me, loving him, caring for him, smiling for him...it's painful. I'd not want that to happen.

Rina should be with me, but I can't blame her if she has got somebody already.

I fumbled a good woman, a woman who loved me, I would definitely deserve it. But, I just pray she hasn't found somebody and still is willing to allow me a chance.

She's also dressed up for this meet. My heart echoed this thought, over and over again until my nerves calmed down.

I've never seen Rina dressing up for any occasion, she's the woman who's got the potential to kill people with her looks but chooses to be in the most absurd fashion possible. I've witnessed her wearing my sweats for a date. She looked cute though.

I watch as she pulls out her cell and picks up a call. A smile spreads across her face, her cheeks shining bright. Only I used to gain that smile.

Tension grip my insides. Who's she talking to? Should I go invade? No, that would probably be rude and desperate, I can't fumble with her again.

She removes a lock from her hair and in the dim light of the pole she looks the most beautiful person on this earth.

I can always walk over with the food and listen to what she's saying on the call and later draw up a chart to guess who she might be on the call with.

"Sir, your order."

Jackpot! What perfect timing!

Slamming the note on the table, I rushed off, with the two plates of food we ordered ourselves from the stall.

"Keep the change!" I screamed for the man to hear and paced up to reach her without waiting for a response.

She smiled again at the person on the other end of the call.

"Yes, also the aunts already love you. They say 'he's a sweetheart' 'why don't you invite him in for dinner?' and such" she says and giggles again.

What's there to giggle? And who's this he?

"Oh- did they? Where are you all even heading?" She asks, a bit fidgety.

After a pause, "oh, cool! I'm out with a- friend! ......no, no, you don't have to pick me up, I'm fine, really! Have fun with them!!" She says on the call.

Another long pause and two of them giggles.

"This Sunday? Lunch? Really?" She said.

My interest was doubled and the rage too.

"Oh! They are so extra! So, did you agree to come over?"

Come over?

"Cool then, meet you at 10, next Sunday, informally! I'll take my leave." She said.

Next Sunday. It's a 'he' who's also liked by the aunts. They are meeting informally? Ten, probably in the morning for whoever it is, he's invited for lunch. At Rina's place. Cool.

See you on the coming Sunday, for lunch, Rina. I thought, a smirk layering my mouth.
