It was March 20th, 2049, a special day for the Brotherhood—the day of the spring solstice. The clock read 6:32 AM, and the village of Izgrev could witness one of the most beautiful sunrises ever. But Chairman Hristo Georgiev and a few other members of the Brotherhood could not participate in the morning routine and practice. They were occupied. Viara was feeling sharp pains and struggling to take a breath.
Finally, after an endless night, a baby's cry was heard. The baby was taken out of her body, and the umbilical cord was cut. It was quickly wrapped up in a diaper. It was a boy. Viara had already decided to name him after his father. The boy's name was Pavel (i.e. the Bulgarian equivalent of Paul). Though she could feel Paul Striker was already gone from this world, she knew the boy would bear his best traits and would be his legacy. He would be a Warrior of Light one day. Viara had dreamt about it and had visions. But she had to give her best to protect him until he was a grown-up man. She knew enemies and evil would come and try to take him away. Or even worse.
Three minutes later, in the light of the day, Pavel's twin, Maria, appeared. Years were needed to understand if she would inherit her mother's gifts and special abilities. Even if not, Maria would be essential to her brother's life. Viara could hold the babies in her arms for the first time. She felt love as pure and strong as only a mother could feel. These children were a gift by nature and by destiny. Nowadays, conceiving a child was becoming increasingly difficult, and she was blessed to give birth to two beautiful ones just after the short presence of a man from the West in her life. And after a single night with him. Her children would fill the void in her life after Paul left the village. The first man in her life would be the last one. That was her destiny. She would stick to her vow to herself. She had managed to resist the temptations of her physical body and kept her virginity till the right man appeared. He was sent from God, she sometimes thought.

Time was passing. Viara was looking after her children. But she was tense. She could feel the vibrations of evil rising worldwide and encircling all sacred places on Earth. It was crushing for her to bear the burden of knowledge. One morning, after the Paneurhythmy, she decided she could not live with negative thoughts all along and constant expectations about the uncertain future. Just for a moment, she let all her fears disappear. She put aside all thoughts and any burden. It was time to celebrate. To celebrate God and the great miracle of Life.
