i woke up did my morning routine and left for work i drove until i reached cloud 9 i parked my car and made my way inside.
i got to the break room and sat down next to cheyenne and mateo "hey guys" i said as i unlocked my phone
"hey girl" they said in unison
"oh by the way im having a halloween themed party tonight. everyone is invited so you two are welcome to come uhm bring friends if you like"
"A PARTYY!! stop i'm so excited i haven't been to a party in like forever.." mateo said excitedly
"i went to my friend coronas party last weekend and it was so bad.." cheyenne said tiredly "im so excited for yours though!" she smiled at me
"so is there a dress code or..?" mateo said waiting for an anwser
"oh uhm yes kind of just wear a halloween costume it dosent matter which it could be a funny one or a sexy one just a costume" i tell them smiling
"omg what are you gonna go as" cheyenne asked excited
"harley quinn i think it's abit basic but iconic" i say
"no girl that's really good, i think im gonna go asss... little red riding hood but like make her sexy" cheyenne tells us with a grin
our morning announcements were over and we all begun our shifts the word of my party spread like wild fire i knew this because people were talking about what they were gonna wear and just the party in general hearing this gave me some second thoughts though because now i needed to make it amazing my mind was snapped out of its thoughts when i heard someone calling my name...
"delilah! delilah!" marcus called out
i turned my head "oh hey marcus"
"so i heard you was having a party tonight" he grins
"uhm yes i am your welcome to come" i smile
"don't worry i will be there.. so what are you going as" marcus leans on the shelf trying to act smooth but grazes his elbow on the metal
i giggle "harley quinn"
"well then i guess i will be going as the joker" he smirks
"a couples costume?" i smile blushing slightly
"exactly" he smiles
"you know their love was very toxic and we're not a couple" i laugh
"well their love was definitely not toxic and so? i called dibs and i have free will so i will be going as the joker" he says unbothered
"i will see you there then" i smile
"yes, you will" he says walking off
as i continued to work wiping down shelves and putting items were they are supposed to be a girl with a name tag reading cindy approached me
"hey so are you delilah?" she asked
"yeah, why cindy?" i say confused
"oh sorry im not cindy im amy" she says smiling
"amy?" i say confused
"oh yeah i dont like customers using my name" she smiles
"that's so smart" i laugh slightly
"yeah so uhm are you having a party tonight?"
"yeah!" i smile
"i just wanted to ask if i could come i heard everyone was invited but i just wanted to make sure" she asks in a awkward way
"no ofcourse you can come just make sure you say hi and stuff you seem nice to talk to oh and come in a costume it can be anything you like" i say smiling at her
"okay then i will thank you so much" she smiles at me before walking off
i went back to working, im kinda happy i decided to have this party because more people are starting to talk to me and like me.. especially marcus
the day was finally over everyone rushed excitedly home including me, i needed to get everything ready for tonight buy all the drinks get myself ready and my apartment ready i brainstormed ideas for the decorations on the drive home.
