Taha's POV

After waiting for nine months, the time has finally arrived. We prayed every day for this moment.

But I don't know what to feel. I am happy that, at any moment, the nurse will come out of the maternity room and give me my baby to hold.

But I am also nervous and full of fear. My wife is enduring so much pain.

Mamu is busy talking to the nurse about her condition.

Sunidhi Mumani is with Rubab inside the maternity room.

Bakht is with Anam Khala.

When the doctor comes out of the room with a grave expression, my soul stops for a moment.

Few hours back

"You have to decide, Mrs. Abraham. She can't bear the pain of giving birth to triplets," the doctor said to Sunidhi.

"What the hell are you talking about, doctor? You never told us she was having triplets," Sunidhi replied in anger.

"My baby has been crying in pain for the past hour," she said, controlling her anger.

"Mam, I am sorry, but I already told Rubab about her carrying triplets," the doctor said.

"So why the hell are you waiting for a normal birth? Go for surgery," she said, controlling her anger.

"Mam, her blood pressure is around 300, and I doubt that this high blood pressure will harm her baby," the doctor said.

"Listen, doctor, do you know what will happen if Abraham finds out about this? I hope you know very well. If any situation arises where you have to choose between her or her baby, you will choose her life," she said, clenching her jaw.

"And don't you dare give her another injection for labor pain," she said, getting up. "I'll be with her in the labor room," she declared, walking out.

"Mera bachha, calm down, everything will be alright, jaan," she said, caressing her head.

She is drenched in sweat and tears, but another kind of happiness and excitement is simmering in her eyes.

"Mumani, finally, my babies will come into this world," she said, controlling her painful moan.

Sunidhi controlled her pain upon seeing her face. She didn't have the guts to tell her that her baby was losing oxygen due to her high blood pressure.

But she didn't care about those children. All she cared about was her baby crying, screaming, and moaning in pain.

She had already signed the document preferring Rubab's life over her unborn babies.

Sunidhi stood by her side, holding her hand with a motherly grip.

After enduring two or three heavy contractions, she delivered her first baby.

It's a boy, but unfortunately, he is not crying as every child does.

The doctor put him in oxygen.

One by one, she delivered two more children, but they were both dead. A baby girl like her and baby boy.

"Mumani, why is my baby not wailing?" she asked with concern and fatigue.

Sunidhi kissed her forehead and said, "Take rest, jaan. I will see them," she said heavy-heartedly.

She knew how much these babies meant to her. Despite having a blood pressure of 300, she was asking for their well-being.

The doctor gave her an injection for a good sleep.
