During the last week, Cedar had been avoiding attending their classes and only went to work, in an attempts to get Vega and Finn to leave them alone. Their spirals usually caused them to self-destruct their whole life, and that was so much easier when they had people to shove away from them an out of their life. They were still doing their course work. They didn't want to waste more of their parents' money then they already were.

"Maybe they work today?" Cedar was ticketing items in the back of the store that were being put on sale, when they heard the familiar voice. Of course it was Finn, who else would it be.

"Fuck," Cedar breathed out before they rushed towards the back of the store, into the employees only room. They shut the door behind them and stood in front of it, their heart racing.

"Cedar? Yeah they work today. I think they might be in the back. It's already if you two head back there, I trust you, Vega." Goddammit, Marvin! Doesn't he realize that they're trying to avoid Vega and Finn? Hiding was intentional. Cedar stood in front of the door, bracing themself in an attempt to stop the two from being able to open the door.

The sound of the door knob turning could be heard and before the door opened, the sound of struggling came from Vega. "Jesus, why won't this door open?" Vega said, attempting to shove harder. "It's like something is blocking it." Vega gave it one final hard push, which sent Cedar onto the ground, bruising their knees and hands from hitting the hard floor.

"Cedar!" Finn cried out, rushing towards them, reaching out to help them up. "What were you doing behind the door? Are you hurt?" Finn started to ask them, reaching for their hand, only for them to swat it away. "Cedar?"

"Why the fuck are you two here?" Cedar snapped at the two, helping themself up, dusting off their pants. "Can't you two take the hint?"

"We were worried about you. You stopped going to school, so we're here to support you and help you out however we can," Vega explained and Cedar scoffed, turning away from them, walking further into the backroom. "Don't scoff at me!"

"Don't barge into my fucking work to do what? Get me back to spending time with you guys? Aren't you two selfish, not even considering what's best for me? Only what you want? Which is someone who you can take care of and fix. I don't need to be your good deed for the day," Cedar said, mocking the two before rummaging through a bin, pretending to be looking for something.

Finn felt his heart break, and a part of him wondered if they were right. Maybe him being in their life wasn't what was best for them.

"Wow, what bullshit," Vega said, snapping Finn back to reality. Cedar rolled their eyes while Vega walked over to them, crossing her arms over her chest. "You think we're being selfish? We came down here to make sure you were okay because we care about you. You went M.I.A. for a week, didn't go to school, and haven't answered your phone."

"I am doing those things because I don't want friends, Vega. I never wanted them. They all exist to use and abuse me in one way or another, so why would I want any more of them?" Cedar said, turning to face them, their eyes turning red as they felt themself holding back tears. They craved friends, but none of it felt real that someone cared.

"Yeah right. You were your happiest when you hung out with us. Abandoning us because your crush doesn't like you back? That is being dramatic. We still love you, and we're picking you. Just because the person you thought you loved, even though you barely knew them, doesn't love you back doesn't mean no one will," Vega continued, and Cedar started to blush, feeling embarrassed about their heartbreak. Her knowing means that Finn probably told her about how they pushed him against the wall and got violent with him. They looked down at their feet, messing with their fingers, realizing how stupid it all sounds now. But they couldn't think clearly when that hurt them, they forgot all about what had happened the last little while with Finn and Vega.
